  4. The first game was a classic, the 2nd game was a dud, one try, right at the end. NSW was terrible in game 2, QLD were worse. It seemed the most important moment was when Cooper Cronk was injured pretty much ruling him out for first 2 games. Cronk returned for game 3, QLD put NSW to the sword. QLD were a bit frustrated, as they knew they were up against 2 awful substandard halves, Reynolds and Hodkinson who were riding their luck, that's how many games are won, when the momentum is with you, you go with it. NSW won the series; a win is a win. It wasn't the end of an era for QLD, they went on to win the next 3 series. The end was when Cronk, Smith, Thurston retired, followed by Slater and Inglis in the next few years after. The NSW Bradburys won 2 consecutive series in 2018-19, then started losing again, jagging a series here and there. NSW haven't been able, still, to build a team like QLD did. That's the key to it, to keep great players together year in and out.

  10. Still amazed that we even managed to win 1 series against that QLD side. Queenslanders brag like 8 in a row was impressive but with all those players it should been 12 in a row. QLD don't get origin 😌
