  1. If they add an attraction to the Galaxy's Edge area, they'll probably want to utilize that First Order area near Kylo Rens ship (the giant doors with the banner over it) as the attraction entrance. It seems to be the only viable way to get back to that area without disrupting the immersion. (In WDW, that's the door that's used by guests of Galactic Cruiser).

The Toontown sign does indeed indicate close at 8pm (for fireworks) and reopens at 10. Previously, Toontown would just close at night, but I think they moved some of the pyro to allow them to re-open after the fireworks. Not to mention the addition of M&MRR will probably drive more interest to the area whereas before it would just die at night as parents took their kids back to the hotels early. The sign being absent is a function of Princess Nite (like you guessed).

  2. You think galaxy's edge is small and needs to grow ? Its the biggest land in Disneyland! They just made a huge mistake of not utilizing the space correctly.2 rides in a almost 15 acre land .look how tiny adventureland is…and it has 4 rides & Walt Disney magic!

  3. David I just want to point out something in regards to your Galaxys edge expansion pad idea. While I think your mostly correct you need to think bigger. If you look on the Disneyland forward website and the map of the park the area backstage north of Galaxys edge is in dark blue (the same as the rest of the park) and makes kind of a panhandle. If Disney is going to spend the kind of money necessary to expand Galaxys edge they are going to go big and go well past those two small buildings. If you think about it going bigger will make it easier to work with the sight lines.

  4. FreshBaked. David, As Andy said, " Hope is a good thing." Have they finished painting all the "People Mover" supports and are there still windows covered up or in the dark at the Emporium? One of these Princess Nights we'll get to meet Princess Liz. Another reason to live in hope. Cheers, Chris Perry.

  5. I was there and looking for you but no luck. We ALWAYS come this time of year bc it is usually empty but it was more crowded this year.. not terrible, but we did get genie + one day.

  6. I had a thought when you mentioned Tron. What if Disneylands version of Tron is completely different than the other two? Using the same ride vehicles, but following the peoplemover path and using the carousel of progress as the ride building. Then eliminating the peoplemover path over Autopia.

  7. Are you going to cover the protest at Disneyland on 18 March? I'll be in Virginia visiting my son (Navy), it'd be interesting to see coverage if it. I don't expect much though, it's probably more hype than reality.

What have you heard on Avatar taking over Nemo and the Autopia?

    Great vid. Love your vids.

  8. Two things.

    DCA needs it's own report

You should do a cost benefit analysis of a single day ticket vs after hours event for rides only. How many rides can you ride 8-8 verses 6-1 for after hours. Would be very interesting

  9. No! No more Galaxy Edge. Star Wars land sucks. It's a giant money trap with only two rides. Waste of space. They need to tear down half of it and put the Avatar ride over there. Right now it's just a complete waste of space- just like the superhero stuff in DCA. Yuck.

  10. Great meeting you that Thursday and thanks for stopping for a picture! FreshBaked!!!

Edit: I went to Princess Nite Tuesday and all the princess lines were over an hour. We met no princesses but took the opportunity to ride a ton of rides. Not worth the money if you wanted to meet princess but definitely worth it if you wanted to ride basically everything.

  11. What if?… @37:30 the entrance was to (chuckie cheese style restaurant) for cantina… inside will be entrance for kids ride; a Tram dark ride goes to parking lot and back (Trams to parking lot no zoning changes needed (light field – AR) tech used) for kids!

  12. Someone mentioned moving Star Tours into Galaxy's Edge. If it would fit, that seems like the perfect thing to go in that space behind Smuggler's Run. An idea I've had, which might fit for a more kid-friendly attraction, would be a kind of "galactic zoo" with animatronic Star Wares animals. Not sure if there's available space down by the Critter Country entrance, but if there was it would be a great transition between the two lands.

  13. Galaxy's Edge needs at very minimum a visible outdoor kids ride. They must remove one of the buildings or facades that they built sitting against the train and put in some kind of awesome spinner ride or maybe a mini kids coaster or some kind one of the biggest problems with Galaxy's Edge in my opinion, besides the fact that it's completely boring, is the fact that there is zero movement. There is no water moving there are no waterfalls and there are no visible attractions. I understand what they were going for here, but Disneyland is not the place where you can have a land this gigantic without utilizing every single possible inch of space. Land is extremely valuable in Anaheim for Disneyland

  15. I've noticed they have sped up the process on Resistance that takes away it's immersiveness😩…🤦By the time I and many others get to experience this they will have found a means to cut out 5 minutes of IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE that we can Only have with viewings of other peoples past recordings🤷
