  1. Never believe the wait times for Peter Pan.
It's never 30 minutes plan on 45 regardless of what the app says. That way you aren't annoyed when it's 45 or more and not 30.

  2. I only buy the individual Lightning Lane for Rise, and only if I’m there on really busy days with long waits. But almost always buy Genie+. I live in AZ and only get to go to Disneyland 3-4 times a year, so want to maximize getting on rides when there.

  3. I was also there on Saturday and I agree the individual LL purchase is crazy. My family chose not to spend $18 per person just to get on runaway railway and since we had no interest in anything else in toontown, we never went there. Like you said, Disney probably missed out on purchases we may have made had we gone.

  4. I was just there on vacation last week. I loved the genie plus system and we did use the individual lighting lane for radiator racers, rise and Mickey and Minnie’s. Those always had over an hour wait and with two very small kids waiting in long lines isn’t easy. Plus we only had 3 park days so we tried to make use of all of our time there. It was expensive but it guaranteed us a ride. I can totally see why locals would never purchase that thou.

  5. Yesterday, may 15, incredi coaster was open during world of color. They blacked out the coaster and turned off the picture camera…it was running through closing! Love this change!

  6. My daughter and I were there too Saturday the 13th and I was very surprised how many people I saw using Lightning Lane at Runaway Railway. We had under 40 minute wait and at least 30 to 50 people were rolling thru that LL line. My daughter and I were counting and adding up how much extra Disney squeezed out of families for Mickey & Minnie's.

  7. I was there on friday (the day before you) and the bird was still in the same place. It was not moved. The wait times werent bad that day. Runaway railway said 30 min. Only ended up being about 15. Took a trip on the mark twain at night it was so nice.

  8. This is my favorite type of fresh baked video. I love all the conversation and riffing. That said, I was there yesterday, Monday, and it was "bonkers", as Mondays have been lately. Much busier than the Saturday example here.

  9. I’m from Hawaii so we don’t visit often and am planning to get both genie plus and individual lightning lanes (specifically for runaway railway) for our July trip but only because we only have one day at each park and we want to ride and eat as much as we can in those two days. We plan on rope dropping rise of the resistance and radiator spring racers. We’re a family of 6 and I have two older kids and two toddlers.

  10. Hey fresh baked. I buy the lightning lane for run away rail way and rise. I just don’t have time to wait in line for those premier rides. I hope they never remove the individual Lightning lanes. Helpful for us that don’t have a lot of time. I also buy the genie+ for Disneyland usually. Sometimes DCA depends if I’m there to eat or ride. I love being able to buy my way into these rides. So I’m obviously part of the problem but I go to Disneyland to blow money 💰 so that’s just me. If you disagree all good. But some of us love the lightning lanes and the genie +

  11. As someone who is only able to go to Disneyland once a year (if I'm lucky), I do buy Genie+ as well as the Individual Lightning Lane for Rise and sometimes Racers. have to build it into my budget, and yes I do wish I could spend that money on some churros or popcorn, but my time at the park is so limited that I feel that the value is there for me.

That said I'd spend a bit more on Genie+ if it included those rides and they did away with ILL

  12. The only time I’ve ever considered getting an individual lightning lane is when a brand new ride opens, and I may or may not get virtual queue. I had considered it for rise of the resistance and runaway when those both opened but I was able to get into the virtual queue, so there wasn’t ever a need for me to buy it

  13. Looked like a great day to be in the park. Love you enjoying your day working in the park… with your daughter. The look of Toontown is amazing, with this mountains blending into the sky. Every time I see it (in a video) either the sky looks fake, matching the background, or the background looks real, matching the sky. So very cool.

  14. I feel like those wait times should be the goal. When you have to wait 45 – 60 minutes for every single ride, it really makes for a terrible day. The short queues around 20-25 with a few queues for the biggest rides hitting near an hour. Anymore than that and it gets exhausting. And actually being able to walk around in the park should be the norm too.

  15. I was there on Saturday and the park was downright quiet. I did 42 attractions, tracked my wait times throughout the day and my average wait time for the day was 12.5 minutes. Mr. Toads was my longest wait due a breakdown while in the queue (37 minutes). Peter Pan was the longest non-breakdown wait at 34 minutes. Rise and M&MRR were 21 and 25 respectively. Contrast that with Friday and Sunday which were nightmares to be in the park.

  16. We never do both genie+ AND individual LLs. Always one or the other. Id rather pay a little more to have genie+ as one system & no individual LL rather than pay for both. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  17. Thing is single day locals want to be able to meet their traveling friends they find out are in the park. Could only see my bro at downtown Disney last trip. Shame considering the drive in.

  18. David, it’s Tuesday the 16th and I’m at the park. I’m in the Pirate’s queue as we speak, and the parrot is back in its spot! The other parrot next to the dirty foot pirate is still in the ride as well.

  19. I bought Genie+ thinking it replaced Fast pass. Nooo it was worse. Spiderman, Rise and Cars all had individual lightning lane that needed to be purchased. Each ride at $18 July 2022.
Everyone remembers the fast pass system right? Where? You can have 2 fast passes at the same time and once the time starts for the 1st fast pass. You can then collect a third fast pass. Not with genie plus you can only get a fast pass when your first one starts. Is limiting it from 3 down to 2 at the same time. I only used it for one ride the entire day because it was so packed. What a waste of one hundred dollars using genie plus for me and my son on his birthday. I refuse to ever buy a genie plus again let alone lightning lane. Just a ploy for them to be able to make more money out of everybody like micro transactions and video games. Why can't they just give us the content we've already paid for?
