  1. Seems to me that the problem isn't so much lightning lane but that they're selling too many for each time slot? There shouldn't really be a "line" in lightning lane?

  2. You are so right about how lightning lane spoils it for the average person/family. Especially for those on a budget who can't afford it. Hey Disney, please bring back fast pass, and make it like it use to be where you had to physically get a fast pass ticket. That way it forces people to find something to do after they get their ticket. Be it another attraction or shop or eat.

    Thanks David.

  3. Great State of DCA report! Excellent idea! It is, somehow, even better to see the Monorail go through DCA than anywhere else! It is strangely rare to catch a sighting in California Adventure! Thank you, FreshBaked!

  4. To add onto what you said about lightning lane. Think about families that save for years to be able to go once in a lifetime. Many families rely on a single cell phone that isn't a smartphone. They are automatically ignored and will have a lesser experience just because they can't afford a smartphone. Then even if a family has a smartphone, that extra money might have been set aside for food, or one thing of merch for each kid. I remember one thing Walt said, "To all who come to this happy place, Welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past… And here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America… With the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world." Not once does he say anything about pricing anyone out of the park. To those who think anyone can afford it, I've met people who have never been simply because their children's health and well being are more important than taking a vacation. Taking a vacation would have meant sacrificing the life of their child because they wouldn't be able to afford the medication otherwise. Don't get me started on Make-a-Wish for those expecting they could have just gotten help from them, they tried. The offer was initially Disney World, then it became Disneyland, and then finally a local park that is open 3 months out of the year(not worth going to even free). Having worked for Disney during the early years of Iger, I cannot tell you how frustrated I am and how embarrassed I am to even tell people that I worked at Disneyworld.

  5. I have an idea, but I don’t know how people will like it. They should take out the Hyperion Theater and put it Downtown Disney and have it as it’s own thing. Have the shows full on Broadway style productions

  6. I think Monsters and Web Slingers have such long lines because there aren't many rides in DCA w/o a height req. If you're there with a kid under 38", you're very limited now and don't have much choice but to wait.

  7. The best thing I've ever seen in Studio 12 was when Tron 2 came out and they had that OG arcade in there…that was fun!
Yeah…Lightning Lane definitely ruins Monsters Inc!

  8. I was just there at DCA on July 6th and what a cluster. Lighting Lane felt like it was sold with every ticket. Standby wait times were off by 15-30min. At around noon I think Guardians was giving me an 8:20pm LL return time. Next time I would just get a park hopper to DCA. Not worth buying a full priced ticket. Forgot to mention also all the ride breakdowns during the day as well. Went to Disneyland the next day and it was a great experience.

  9. I think after Rogers the musical they will put a permanent show in there. The rumor is Hercules, and I don't think it would deter from selling premium viewing areas because they've been doing it for literally decades with Fantasmic as well as world of color. Also, I don't know if you heard but Rogers the musical is already set to close August 31st
