Starting an Ultra Modern Zoo in Franchise Mode! | San Bernardino Zoo | Planet Zoo ep 1

Starting an ultra-modern, realistic zoo in Planet Zoo Franchise mode! In episode 1 we build a beautiful Flamingo habitat and start working on a huge entrance 8 metres off the ground!

San Bernardino Zoo is set in Southern California and is inspired by some of the finest zoos & architects around the world from Singapore to San Diego. It is the sequel to Tekton Zoo and will be my main zoo for the next few months (joking, this will take years!)

  1. I loved watching the build at a slower speed, especially the pathing work at the beginning. It was super helpful to watch how you did things at a speed that's easier to follow. I can't wait to watch how everything comes together.

  2. I usually watch speed builds at x1,5 speed, so I never complain about the camera whips x') Not because they're boring, it can be very nice to see how things are made, without needing the same amount of time, but there's simply too many videos to watch them all at regular speed xD
I always find your videos enjoyable though, and like watching how you build things, regardless of speed “

  3. Love this idea! So many flamingo habitats look the same, but this has such a unique flavour with some really creative ideas.

I'll look up the Singapore masterplan now to see what we can expect from you 😁 Really looking forward to this entire project!

  4. Building paths is the absolute bane of my existence, absolutely ballsy of you to start off trying to build a spiral staircase LOL. Turned out great though! I'm a fan of the slower speed as I struggle with finding inspiration for my own habitats, and hearing someone talk about their process as well as seeing it in real-time really helps me break out of those inspiration funks. Though I also enjoy speed builds! It's all fun hahah!

Flamingo habitats are among my favorites to build as well as see in zoos IRL. They're always so lush and pretty, and Flamingos are among the prettiest birds (in my opinion). This is no exception, of course! Looks fantastic, I love your use of white concrete. It's such a gorgeous contrast to these detailed exhibits. Looking forward to more of this series!

  5. I'm so excited already, and it's only the 1st episode! I really do like this way of video. Get to see more of the process and feels more connected (if that makes sense, lol) than watching a speed though.

  6. Looks great! I love what you did with the foraging pool island. I've been avoiding building for flamingos for forever since I couldn't find a way to make the pool look nice, but I'm definitely going to try out what you did.

  7. Brilliant, I've already learned stuff! Always had so much trouble with getting two storey buildings to work. I like the new style of video and I'm excited about being in on this zoo from the very beginning! πŸ˜€

  8. Love the lushness of the habitat, and the way the concrete shelter integrates with the waterfall.
One thing about layouts though: irl it would create a bottleneck if lifts were the only way for guests to get from the transport hub to the entrance, especially if one of the lifts breaks down (which WILL happen)
