  1. Okay, I just want to say that after getting the stones and sticks that are in and around the world spawn, you only need one or two more of each which should be just into the tree line. Do NOT make a club first. It's not actually that important as you have the same result in the end (survival) but it's way more efficient to make an axe first because then you can quickly gather the wood for a club if you feel the need to make one (unless you plan on entering burial mounds or the swamp so early on, the club is completely unnecessary). The axe not only unlocks more opportunity for you quicker, it also does more damage to early mobs than the club.

  2. I'm new to this game and learned a lot through your tutorials specifically. You are very pleasant to listen to and I like the editing style that makes your videos very concise, yet entertaining. Keep it up, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this guided playthrough!

  4. You forgot to mention that you can often find Bones under the Dolmen structures. And you WILL need bones for crafting.

Also, you didn't pick up any Flint. The Flint spear and knife are good early game weapons!

  5. No need for pickaxe for buried ship treasure. Just use a hoe to move the ground around until the chest is exposed. I've never really seen much value though in buried treasure. Typically its only a couple coins and a gem or two, plus maybe some feathers. Kinda pointless when I can get all that in much greater quantities elsewhere. Would be nice if there was more useful treasure in those buried ships.

  6. Also of note, when you are sneaking up on things, be aware of what direction the wind is blowing. I can't count how many times a deer, that couldn't see me, ran off because the wind blew my scent towards it. So now I stay downwind and can get almost right on top of them.
And, while you are sneaking, a little crossbar appears. If it remains a crossbar, it means nothing can see you. If it shifts to a squinted eye, something can see you, so be aware. If it becomes a full eye, you are visible and should reconsider your strategy.
Thanks for the informational videos and amusing dad jokes!

  7. Omg, the Valheim jokes were awesome. I’m digging this new series! Keep it up! Edited to say that I have hundreds of hours in the game and still learned something from this video. I didn’t know that starred boars are more likely to spawn around that runestone. Thx!

  8. I personally do not like putting more than two cooking stands over a fire. I tried it and cooking a lot of meat all at once, and I found it is very difficult to focus on each cooking stand and get the meat off in time; I had meat turning into coal like you did here. So I just put two stands on, and cook four pieces of meat at a time. It's slower, but I don't waste meat.

  9. Actually, the raid is the reason, why I use only 2-3 cooking stations at the same time. Also, I take some time before I kill eikthyr to get that raid 2-3 times. In my hearth and home restart I actually killed eikthyr when I already was ready to kill the elder and did it actually only to have more stamina for the elder fight

  10. For the beehives, you can get them to break without using any resources by using a workbench. Just take down the building pieces touching the beehive and it'll break dropping the honey and queen bee.
