  2. Great video Marcus. I’m a relative new channel subscriber and love the content, now eagerly look forward to it each week. Your enthusiasm and detail is contagious, and fuels the optimism we at last have again for space exploration.

Kudos to you and the team, which I loved seeing at the end!

  3. in your title "Flight date revealed"
then "we have no official.. just hints.." you click baited on speculation, not cool
and you brush over it so fast I had to watch it 3 times to get that.
can you in the future be less click baity and get to the point, also pin the time when you got to the point so we can just skip to that, by the way 2:512:54 is the entire bit on the "date revealed"
your title only feature less than 5 seconds in a 1510 second video. not cool man.
keep this up and i will unsub you for sure

  4. I can't remember who created the idea/concept that seeking "perfection" in machines leads to beauty, but damn; you can really see every aspect of starship, from the engines & nozzles, the outside and inside; all aspects of it are now becoming refined and really beautiful!

  5. Would love to see updated views of the forward passenger compartment. Bet there won’t be pics of them floating around a glass-enclosed nose, not with header tanks and flap control mechanisms. Be sure to post when you get the chance.

  6. Super rundown on a topic that so fascinating, but also so complex. Markus, you have a truly amazing grasp of the workings of this machine and you share your expertise with us in such a clear and engaging manner. Thank you ever so much!

  7. I have a question i think you can answer me (do the math for me):
if it would be starship (upper stage) transform to a starrocket (upper part cut off, wings and unimportant parts cut off) how much weight could it ship to moon (speed like SLS Orion) in one go?

If Falcon Heavy can send about 18t, my guess is about 60t (60 000kg) for SR (Starrocket).
The reason I ask is because for many cases you only need speed and are not interested in starship capabilities. For example, a project to Jupiter or something similar. Speed is more important than other special features of the SS.

  9. Hi Marcus, Happy New Year.
Hey, regarding the new Pad B OLM, are they test fitting the parts right now, or will it move as one? It seems to have an extremely large mass, and I can't imagine how it will be moved. Cheers πŸŽ‰

  10. What SpaceX called the e-dome is actually the typical dome in most of the liquid fuel rockets and many commercial tanks. Dome optimisation is a well-developed theory and practice in structural design. SpaceX is ingenious in portraying itself as an inventor when it simply does things in a standard way. The dome with a conic section was chosen for easy manufacture and echoed the same shape in the early Atlas-Centaur rockets.
