Shelke, a railway worker with five years of experience, recounted a harrowing moment: “I was stationed on the tracks, responsible for signaling the Udyan Express. Only the station master and I were on the platform. As the train approached, I noticed a child on the tracks. I immediately sprinted towards the child, initially hesitating and slowing down in fear. But the thought of the child being in danger drove me to push through my fear and continue running to save him.”
