Starfield's First 20 Hours | An RPG For The Space Gamers? (Spoiler Free)

Starfield is finally here, and there is A LOT to it. So much, in fact, that this review will just be looking at what a player might encounter in their first 20 hours. While I was given a game to review, it came rather late. So this will be my first impression of the biggest space RPG in over a decade, with my full 100-hour review coming in a month.

  1. Excited to explore the full game with you guys over the next month. I'll explain in a later video how my review process went. I played across a laptop, PC, and Xbox. Specifically, I had to play on the laptop while riding down the highway 😅 good times.

    Are you going to play?

  2. great video… i think i do want to play this game, but the fact it misses some of the space elements (like space walking) do slightly put me off.. might wait to see the rest of these reviews.

  3. Playing it now- i am disappointed. Too many loading screens, space combat ia garbage and thexstorty is just poorly written. Doesn't come close to the story and pacing of Mass Effect.

  4. Whatever you don't care for in the game, some modder is going to address it in the upcoming year.
    You'll get your EVA eventually.
Beth has not missed what has kept Skyrim going all this time; they're making games that are also game platforms.
It's going to be really interesting to see where this game is in a year, and how the capabilities of the Creation Kit give hints of what's to come in TES VI, and also how it affects Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind – 'cause you know people are going to use the current CK to retcon those games.

  5. People were so wrong thinking this was a star citizen competitor. The huge amount of loading screens and fast travel anywhere anytime on top of basically nothing to do in space unless you want to really puts this game in a totally different space (no pun intended). CIG really dodged the punch here 😉

  6. Thanks for this review. I'm passing on this one. A space exploration game without ground vehicles, mounts or atmopheric flight is absurd IMO. FPS is the worst ive seen in years, space flight is too arcadish for me, the backgrounds never feel "deep" and immersion is short-term or non-existent du to cut scenes loading screens and poor dialogs / POVs. But that said you are correct. This is an adequate release for casual players, I'm just too picky.

  8. I guess everyone has a different experience and that is amazing to see.

    Spoiler below:

For example i started with a soldier background with the Wanted Trait , i was getting constantly harassed by bounty hunters died a bunch in space…

Then one time i went to this mining outpost and i boarded this ship that somehow npc departed with me in air lock lool , i kill them and stole their ship to end up getting stoped in a contraband scan and get caught with contraband that wasn't mine , went to jail , and goes on , il stop here cus what comes next is part of story…lol

  9. I'm thinking of getting it. Not sure if it will make my CPU or GPU explode, though. I need to upgrade my rig anyway, but we will see what happens until then. I know this won't be even Star Citizen Lite, more like Skyrim in Space. I enjoyed Skyrim for many years, so maybe this will be OK for now.

  10. I knew going in it’s a BGS game but I was hoping it was going to be more like each planet was explorable like Skyrim/Fallout with a touch of elite dangerous flight in space from solar system to solar system but so far I’m enjoying myself

  11. I was not impressed at all. I find it boring, and the hype is way overrated 😂 hahaha Star Citizen in its ALPHA stage with all its bugs and disconnection problems is way more enjoyable then this crap lol 😅

  12. Starfield exploring loading screens 😂 and this game looks like a 2017 game, 8 years to make this game .. common ahahaha … 90% empty planets lul what a joke

I’m glad this game comes, to people see how good SC is and how unique it is even in alpha phase, I’m glad SQ42 will come next year, people will want a really cool space game to play after playing this one, bcuz people will get bored soon playing loading screens.

  13. Really enjoying Starfield.. May have to restart with a new character because I missed a ton of stuff in just a few hours of gameplay (call it training). The side quests, research projects, ship building and so many directions to go is truly amazing.
