Starfield – Part 56 – Star Crossed Lovers

Starfield continues, as our Ryujin business leads me to a delightful couple who are either going to get married or kill each other, and then it’s time for the most hardcore sneaky mission yet, which it turns out I have not properly prepared for…

  1. Gotta love when Jon pulls story speculation out of his ass because he's the last person on earth to not see through the bethesda bullshit. Sorry Jon but you're splashing around in a puddle and trying to convince yourself that there might be a mini marianas trench somewhere in there.

  2. It's sort of bugging me. You didn't get in trouble with the UC for shooting robots, I thought with the way it was phrased it was just for firing your gun in general. In the game it couldn't have hurt anyone, but in real life shooting a gun anywhere in a building has the chance to hurt a civilian.

  3. mass is irrelevant to sneaking the just like in other beth games the only thing that maters is the total weight of the stuff you have equipped, having a full inventory or almost nothing makes no difference but weather you have your armor equipped or not has a huge impact in your "noisiness"

  4. (39:30) Apparently Jon doesn't remember that using a boostpack breaks stealth. Also, did he not take it off to reduce his carry weight? I have no idea how he got away with that.
(40:49) Jon is blissfully unaware that he can walk on that beam to cross the room.
(42:55) And Jon doesn't notice that there's a "Skyrim vent" in Ularu's office, even though there's a quest marker on it.
(43:27) Good recovery. All-in-all much cleaner than my first try.

  5. No, it can't… It's small. That's what was weird. I've been walking the circumfrence this whole time. This, hah, while time, hn, I'VE GONE NOWHERE!

Day 0056/1230 of requesting Jon read Macbeth to us with accompanying funny voices for the characters.

  6. you can charge the disruptor just like the mag sniper and a fully charged shot is a 1 shot KO, also if the target was unaware of you when you knock them out then when thy wake up they'll do the classic bgs "must have been the wind" and if someone finds them unconscious instead of panicking as thy would if they found a dead body, they'll just wake them up and be on their way

  7. Day 55 of requesting Age of Mythology
Today's book suggestion is X-Wing Squadron: Iron Fist by Aaron Allston. What better book to go along with a video of space subterfuge, intrigue, starships, and action than one of the best Star Wars novels out there?

  8. Surprised Nerd you still doing this series considering the low viewing numbers.

A video about a game moving furniture got more views than the average number for this series.

  9. It was cute that Jon got so excited about that couple's future possible encounters. Agreed that the Ryujin questline was a nice change of pace to the usual fare.

  10. Speaking of weight and how it affects stealth. Its not weight of items in your invernory that affect your stealth capabilities its weight of armor you wearing. Also HOW FAST you're moving. If you're moving too fast while sneaking enemies have better chances to detect you. In Oblivion only thing that actually affects stealth is weight of the boots (weird, but true), in Skyrim weight of all armor affects it until you level up speciffic perk. In Falout 4 you have way too many variables that affect sneak perk like: agility, legendary effects, magazines, armor mods, perks, etc. How does stealth works in Starfield i different question. Probably like in Fallout 4.

  11. Every time they say "Infinity LTD", I am reminded about how poorly polished the dialogue in this game is. Not even the performances itself, just the fact that the writing needed at least one more editing pass.

Starfield, ye another good game that should have been even greater.
