NMS should have introduced custom ships, like many fans were asking for a long long time.
Jason you are as pumped as I am lol. My fav game series of all time is Fallout so this coming from them just make me more hyped knowing what they can bring.
Since you can be a bounty hunter, i wonder if you can make a detainment area module where you lock up criminals on your ship and turn them in at big cities for your reward.

The ship combat definitely took inspiration from elite dangerous with the power distribution and it will be swappable real time during combat
I’m very surprised the amount of customization that only open world games like Space Engineers has. Star Citizen doesn’t have it.

Mods plus this level of customization = will finally get to pilot the Planet Express ship. Been waiting along time for this. The hard choice, Lela, Zap, Fry, or Scruffy as my main character.
Why can’t we have ship customization in NMS
There is more to spaceship customization than what they showed. I remember before they mentioned MASS limitations. I was baffled seeing the mech they built considering that, but I do remember them talking about mass before.

Would love to be able to build space stations/bases and not just those on planets. Now that would be awesome.
Also, it would be cool to have enmey ships disable ours and dock our ships to attack us as we can them.
Hi how does the weapons work can you only have 4 weapons per ship at any one time or do you get hard points like you get on helicopters or fighter jets so you can have upto 4,6 or 8 weapons like

2 missiles launches. If 6 hard points you had on your ship.
Is there any Turrets that shoot for your ship?
I don’t just want ship customization… I wanna have to load and unload exocraft, and eliminate summoning everything.
Also; let us leave unlimited custom treasure chests full of whatever we want for people.
I foresee many many penis shaped ships.
The ship cap isn’t set in stone cause that save only had 9. ships cause if they had 4 ships it would say 1/4 etc..
Also with ship boarding, ships would stack up pretty quickly and it’s not like they all exist in the world at the same times as far as we know

I wanna make something like a star destroyer from Star Wars or something. That would be epic. I wish there could be CO-OP because this game seems like it’d be very fun with CO-OP but oh well maybe some other time. Something I’m curious about is if we can customize the interior like furniture and other systems and stuff.
