I Doktor Skipper, Talk about How Starfield is OUTDATED and OVERRATED in an in depth video covering Bethesda’s Outdated Game Design…but this ain’t a Nakey Jakey video ( don’t kill me )
The video is comparing starfield to games like Cyberpunk 2077 which recently had an expansion.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty staring Idris Elba. Were also talking about past games like Fallout 4, Skyrim, Fallout: New Vegas by Obsidian Entertainment

  1. i just straight up stopped playing once i realized i had no agency in the completion of the paridisio(paradiso? paradise? w/e) mission. i was furious that there was no option to kill everyone in that meeting room and just say "come on down" to the old earthers. ridiculous.

  2. Top notch editing man. Personally I have not touched star field I don't have money to upgrade my computer and I will be damned if I'm going to play 30 frames per second on my series X.

  3. They have free labor, called modders, to fix those issues, this is by design. Stop modding for this damn company force em to actually do their damn right. And get your monies worth.

  4. I hope they do a no man's sky to starfield and make it a lot better over time, because it has a lot of potential. I really wish they would give up on their engine or upgrade it massively though.

  5. OK stopping at 8:56

Cyberpunk 2077 vanilla had maybe 1% of Starfield bug on PC.

It feels like it was worse bc that made people click to write about a disaster that never was.
What did it have? The usual NPC sometimes at the wrong Y, some very visible glitch if you 180° fast.

By contrast Starfield basic mechanics are broken.

Outposts? Broken. Ship can't even land back there.
Companion? Broken. Inconsistant dialog as if they had two affinity score running at the same time.
Melee Stealth? Unplayable, despite being mandatory to farm for range stealth.
Shipbuilder? Will charge for the stuff you don't put.
Ships will get their inventory filled with the pens and misc stuff used in the ship design.
UI – not just horrible, also badly broken as error message flashes for a 10th of a second leaving you no clue what is blocking you.

All of this very basic, in your face, repeatable bugs/issues.

This is the worst a Bethesda game has been on release. Frankly this is the worst I've seen an AAA game on release for a very long time.

  6. The game also being an old engine doesn’t exactly make it profitable. I think people who willingly went day 1 with 70 dollars should feel ripped off.

Starfield is worth one of the thousands of Steam Sales that will be going on for it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes on sale soon

  7. After 100+ hours of playing i came to the very sad realization one day that Starfield is just a huge flat circle. I've barely played it since. Loved the game at first but you will come to eventually realize there is nothing really there and its gets "extremely" repetitive. And there is no "space" in BGS "space" game. Which has been the biggest disappointment of all. Starfield is basically Fallout just set in space. Space is just a means of fast travel, some random encounters and cutscenes. There is basically no space "exploration" in the game. And random planetary exploration is boring after the 100th+ time it ends up being the same thing over and over. Either BGS or modders are going to need to save this game. The creation tool kit can't come soon enough. It needs to be very soon. Also the lack of a real economy in the game just negates the needs for money once you have played the game long enough. Money is useless just like outposts are useless.

  8. Bethesda just never seem to learn anything
outdated game design and pretty bad writing

if you enjoy such things for 70€ good for you, but I want more out of my games than 80% of badly desigend things and 20% goodish stuff for this amount of money.

Enderal (a total conversion mod for Skyrim) is what Skyrim would be if it had great writing and actually great game design. made by students without any budget btw.

  9. The combate outisde of space ship combat is so stupid. I battled a terramorph by just running in cycles and hitting it with my gun. I got hit once and was able to easly take it out. The enemys from fallout 3 were harder to deal with then starfield. They have no tactics they just stand, shoot, and then run in a stright line to stand and shoot again. Its still a decent game i just wish the combat was more challenging

  10. I poured about 30 hours in and wanted to like this game so fucking bad. It was shallow and being forced to make good decisions pisses me off. Every Bethesda game I’ve been a scumbag bc I had the choice to and taking that away from players is so lame. The biggest thing that kept me from enjoying it tho was for sure the awful loading screens. Being in space served no purpose and exploration was so boring , I’d land on a planet find some facility kill robots or pirates get overencumbered drop half of what I looted and then leave and repeat. Starfield seemed promising man and I’m really disappointed I couldn’t finish it, thank god for game pass

  11. I swear to god, this guy just took every single pop culture show, game, or marvel move, that was big in the last decade and took random fucking clips from all of them to make micro clips every 5 seconds in this vid like it's actually jarring how many of them there are. The saddest thing of all is that he probably paid some Chinese person $20 dollars to make all the clips. Please, have some self respect for all the clips you're ripping off like holy fuck.

The amount of tangents that he goes on that have hardly any relevance just to pad the vid's runtime is disgusting. This has got to be one of the most egregious examples of how modern youtube vids are just warping into longform tiktok's that are made to simply distract and contain no substance whatsoever. Every single reference of "insight" you make in this vid has been established to death elsewhere already, come the fuck on.
