The following review of Star Wars Jedi Survivor will be spoiler free, and by that I mean that I will only be showing gameplay from the first 3 hours with the exception of things shown in trailers, and while my thoughts will be unrestricted, I won’t be going into the usual detail to avoid spoiling the game for anyone interested, which you should be, because Star Wars Jedi Survivor is genuinely stellar, from start to finish. I also need to mention, for full transparency, that a review copy of this game was provided to me by EA, but I will be giving away a copy of the PC version, in a few days when the game fully launches on my twitter page. So my money is still on the line here. I had to ramble about being honest and as unbiased as possible here because I genuinely loved this game, and would consider it a solid contender for game of the year. While we’re on the topic of bias I want to give you a brief background of my headspace going into this, the most important being that I heavily enjoyed Jedi Fallen Order despite not being a die hard fan of Star Wars.
I have seen the movies, and played some of the games, but I enjoyed Fallen Order for not just being a good Star Wars game, but a good game in general. Throughout my review of the game which you can find in the description, I had stated that every facet of the game was good, but painfully close to being great or even perfect. This is important to note because Jedi Survivor takes everything that I had both enjoyed and not enjoyed from Fallen Order and improves upon it, on top of adding brand new spices to gameplay that keep things fresh for the entire runtime. It’s story was well told and had some interesting characters, it’s scope felt like it lived up to the gandure that a sequel like this calls for, while not stretching itself too thin, and it’s gameplay stayed enjoyable all the way into a new game plus playthrough. If you enjoyed Jedi Fallen Order then I can’t recommend this game enough but if you didn’t like Fallen Order, specifically it’s fundamentals like it’s combat, difficulty, exploration, and metroidvania esque level design, then you can skip this one, as all these concepts return with varying degrees of improvements and expansions. The rest of this review will be split up into 3 sections, being presentation, gameplay, and story, so feel free to skip around using the chapters below. Finally, if you enjoy these reviews then I’d appreciate your support on Patreon, or even a like on this video.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor is Incredible, and this review of Star Wars Jedi Survivor will explain why, without spoilers. If you enjoyed this Star Wars Jedi Survivor review, then I will consider doing more spoiler free reviews in the future. This Jedi Survivor review will include only footage from the first 3 or so hours. This Jedi Survivor spoiler free review will discuss the very basics of the story. This Star Wars Jedi Survivor spoiler free review should be watched along side other review of the game, because even though I think Jedi Survivor is incredible there are other spoiler free reviews you should watch as well. Within this review will be some Star Wars Jedi Survivor gameplay, and alongside this Jedi Survivor gameplay, and some snippets of the Jedi Survivor trailer will be footage of Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. I will assume that you have watched the Star Wars Jedi Survivor Trailers before you buy Jedi Survivor and before you watch this review.

Update regarding some blurred parts of this video. I showed a boss fight that was very early on in the game but many of you have noted that it's something you wish you hadn't known going into the game, so I have blurred those parts retroactively. I'd also recommend avoiding the comment section on this video to avoid mention of it. For those saying rather rude things about me over this, I can assure you, there are so many surprises I left out in this review, and you can even see plenty parts of the video where I blur the bottom left corner because I wanted to keep the lightsaber stances spoiler free. I wouldn't want to intentionally ruin parts of this game for you all.
Apologies for the audio, but I had to record this video while on vacation, and the acoustics of our hotel room weren't the best. Thanks for understanding! Check below for updates regarding performance.
UPDATE: The day zero patch has improved the game's stability significantly. Some areas still struggle but not nearly as they once did, so rest assured the game runs much better now, and presentation no longer consistently gets in the way of gameplay.
Hey TBA – this is Noshir (the actor for Bode Akuna). I loved checking out your review! It’s clear you’re a Star Wars fan, but you go out of your way to be as objective as possible, and I thought you did it really well. Of course I’m glad you liked Jedi:Survivor, but I’ll make sure to head your way when I’m curious about a game I’m not in! 😁 May the Force be with you!
Great to see big developers giving you review codes!
IS THERE JEDI ROBES
1:33 LOL what a clunky running animation. hilarious
the combat in the first game felt janky, is that fixed?
I actually will not be watching your video. Instead, I just wanted to say that the protagonist has a really punchable face.

Ha ha ha EA says it will be patched day one. Lol. Another unfinished, buggy release
How long is the main story and how long is it to 100% the game?
Finally. Good Star Wars content.
As weird of a thing as it is to praise, I really like Cal's new running and jogging animations.
After completing the story, is there any motivation to keep playing? I ran into that in fallen order where all you can do is revisit areas killing the same enemies. And I'm not referring to the new game plus option
Hey, I don't really care about Star Wars. However, is there enough good story and gameplay in these games that would entertain a non-Star Wars fan?
Great review. Earned a sub
Meanwhile, on Steam… 😛
Do not play this game on pc, there are a ton of performance issues and it absolutely horribly optimized.
bruh how much do they pay you to not make any criticism lmao
I love searching for a newly released game just to see spoilers 😂
I don't understate the review hate… been playing for the first hour and its amazing.
I'm enjoying it on PS5 so far. Still in the early part of the game.I have an issue. When I activate the holomap with the touch pad, an empty transparent window pops up and behind it, I can see the audio ping buttons. Does anyone know if this is a setting I may have accidentally turned on or off? Or is it a glitch?
Yeah it's an incredibly broken mess you should avoid at all costs. You reviewers should be disemboweld with wooden cooking spoons for your blatant shill behaviour
play cyberpunk 🙏
I loved how in the beginning you see this senator who you think is your main villain and a new group who you think are your allies then they all die.
I agreed… until you slandered the ponchos. We love the ponchos here
