  1. I have always loved how the show is bookended by Q. It starts with animosity and suspicion, and it ends with respect and understanding, highlighting in doing so just how far things had come in those seven years.

Its rare for a TV show, even good ones, to end in such a great way.

  2. The one question I have for you is this. Between the original crew and the Next Generation crew, which do you like the most?
For me, the original crew was great, but the bond between the next generation crew cannot be beat. Looking forward to you next reaction concerning Star Trek Generations.

  3. DS9 is an amazing series if a little darker in tone. Voyager has its ups and downs but I like it. You can safely watch all of the TNG movies without much missed from those series though if you want a break from series.

  4. Look how far Cassie has come in her Star Trek journey! from not sure to loving Kirk, Spock etc and then the Next gen series, to coming to love those too! …who knows… perhaps we'll get a DS9 and Voyager run too? (please!)

  5. It’s great that your version of “All Good Things…” is the full 2-hour episode; and not split into two parts. When I purchased the series for streaming, both “Farpoint” and “All Good Things…” are split in two; when they were aired for syndication.

I do wish that Cassie did continue on with Star Trek: Deep Space Nine; along with Voyager, Enterprise, Picard, Lower Decks, etc. But who knows. Maybe after seeing the TNG movies, she might be compelled to maybe check out at least “Emissary”; the DS9 pilot. If that starts her on the journey, so be it. If not, it’s okay.

  6. That Romulan you liked ("Did Starfleet Command approve of this? [No] I like it already!") is Commander Tomalak (rhymes with tomahawk) a Romulan character who appeared in 4 episodes starting in Season 3, a recurring Romulan who was used to act as a serious threat, but one who was familiar and had a sense of mutual respect with Picard. He was played by the awesome actor Andreas Katsulas, who was a wonderful character actor who always brought a really fun and distinctive style and energy to his roles anytime he got the chance (Tomalak started out as a standard "Sneaky Romulan" character in his first appearance in Season 3, but in each subsequent appearance he became funnier and more of a snarky smartass like he was here, almost certainly because the TNG writers realized how great Andreas was and that he could make a funny smartass Romulan character work perfectly.)

If you remember the Harrison Ford movie The Fugitive (you watched it here on your channel 2 years ago) Andreas played the One-Armed Man who killed Dr. Richard Kimball's wife. And, most importantly to fans of Science-Fiction, by the time that "All Good Things… " was first broadcast back in 1994 Andreas had just started playing his most famous role; that of Ambassador G'Kar on the Epic Science-Fiction TV series Babylon 5, which is one of the greatest TV shows ever made (and is recognized as being one of the very first American TV series to tell a long, continuing serialized storyline over 5 seasons, instead of just disjointed episodic stories as was standard up until the mid-2000s.

Ambassador G'Kar belonged to a species of alien called a Narn and Andreas wore heavy reptilian/snakelike makeup for the role, but even with that he is still instantly recognizable by his face/nose/cheekbones and his distinctive voice and fun personality. G'Kar was a wonderful character and any fan of Babylon 5 will tell you how much we all loved him; he could be very fun and funny in some episodes, but he also had an extremely tragic and dramatic story arc, going from a shadowy and villainous character in the 1st Season of Babylon 5, til by the end of the series he had become one of the most honorable, noble, and tragically heroic character in the entire show.

Sadly, Andreas Katsulas died of lung cancer in 2006 at age 59. But all of us fans of Babylon 5 will never forget him as G'Kar, and most of us as the snarky Romulan Commander Tomalak as well.

  7. If you want more, go back and watch ALL of season 3 which is when the show just became amazing and every single episode was excellent. Season 3 has plenty of romance, like Troi falling in love, Geordi falls in love with a hologram (then meets her in real life the following season). So many great episodes. You really don't need to watch the first 2 seasons but if you want more TNG, start with season 3.

  8. But, Cassie, there’s also a bunch of episodes in between that you had to skip so there’s still so much more! Whether you watch it just for Patreon, for YouTube or even just for yourself!

Everyone did a great job trying to give you the essentials, but there are still more that are waiting for you to discover them. Same with the TOS episodes.

    🖖❤️

  9. Cassie, I imagine you would be overjoyed to know that the cast of Star Trek TNG is the first Star Trek cast that ACTUALLY got on well together like a house on fire. The cast are all really good (and goofy!) friends in real life who mirror the chemistry and relationships they have with each other as their characters.

  10. The thing about TNG is the cast really were/are the best of friends. The love they have for each other comes across loud and clear, which makes it a joy to watch. TNG for me is my favourite show of all time. Not only for it being excellent entertainment, but as I grew up and strange as it sounds, it kind of became a moral compass for me. The camaraderie, the teamwork, the dedication, the strong moral compass all were excellent qualities to aspire to. Also in today’s world I find it’s aging beautifully. I love it dearly

  11. "But he's Jean-Luc Picard, and if he wants to go on one more mission, that's what we're going to do. !!!!"

Also after the movies, I highly recommend you binge Picard Season 3 – ignore seasons 1/2 those are weird fever dreams

  12. Cassie, another vote for DS9. It has a very different (slower) pace to it, since it's about a space station on the edge of the Federation's map of the known galaxy..but it's really good. OTOH, if you just want to see the old TNG gang together again, try "Picard". It's pretty much entirely 'fanservice' for those of us who love TNG..but as a fan – I felt well served. 😆
