  1. Interesting that you speak of the cringe in early TNG but repeatedly reference Lower Decks.
I would think anyone who watches Lower Decks would be entirely immune to cringe due to the constant high dosage.

  2. I've been watching Star Trek: The Next Generation since it first aired in 1987. I have all of the original silver DVD season box sets. I would never recommend skipping the first two seasons to anyone. or any of the show's seasons, really. Still, I'd advise them to skip these two episodes: Sub Rosa and Tin Man.

These two episodes are the worst of the series, in my opinion. No one needed to know that a ghost was banging Beverly Crusher's grandmother, and Tam Elbrun is intolerable. Thankfully, he was never brought back.

  3. Pulaski is actually great. I think it was partly shock, partly dislike of older women and partly love of Crusher that made her so unpopular. I was sorry to hear Diana Muldaur had such a bad experience working on TNG, but I was also happy to have Crusher return.

  4. Space seed lists The Eugenics War as the last of the World Wars of earth. WW3 is mentioned in another episode with a different casualty count as the Eunenics war, leading to the logical conclusion that Khan was from WW4, with WW3 happening sometime in the 70s and/or 80s.

But of course WW3 now happens in the 2050s after decades of unrest starting in the 2020s. So eh?

  5. Why don’t the communicators have cameras? We only ever get voice only through the communicators, and there’s an episode later that points out this tactical deficiency when Geordi’s VISOR is used to send visuals to the bridge so the writers and designers knew it would be super convenient for the crew.

    Sorry to jump the gun.

  6. This is fantastic. I'm a very big fan of your channel, and your TNG content is definitely some of the best on YouTube. 4+ hours for TNG is phenomenal. Thank you! Keep up the content and hard work.

  7. I always liked the Ferengi and how they're caricatures of capitalists. I thought they would have made good villains in TNG, but the openly Fascist Romulans ended up being much scarier and more intense, and probably a better match up with the Federation, who strives for peaceful and inclusive diplomatic relations with all of its member planets instead of domination. DS9 really leans into the Ferengi and I think they work better in that setting anyway
