  1. Hey heir of Carthage , thanks for showing us this game , I wanted to see it before considering buying it . I’m not that familiar with Star Trek but wasn’t wolf 359 a major battle between the federation and the Borg and Picard was captured, I was surprised to find out there was actually a star named Wolf 359 , it’s a red dwarf star 8 light years from Earth 😄Live long and prosper 🖖

  2. Why only play as 4 empires? where are the ferengi, dominion, gorn, breen? Eben star trek birth of the federation from 1999 had 5 races! soooooooooooooooooo short sighted.

  3. "Silent alarms" apparently mean that you have detected spy activity in that system, but haven't actually discovered the spy ship. You can send your own spy ships to do counterintelligence there, though.

  4. Would be keen to see you try out the Star Trek: New Horizons mod for actual Stellaris and get your thoughts on that versus this one.

Also Sloan is part of Section 31 from Deep Space 9, the guy on Enterprise was a different member of Section 31.

  5. Yes, this game is based on a slightly older version of Stellaris. The devs and Paradox made no secret of that. I think the UI could use some work (and in Stellaris too, tbh) but even moreso here.

  6. I've heard rumors that Defiant was the second name given to that ship, mainly because the lettering of the original name (Ben Sisko's Motherfucking Pimp Hand) would've taken up too much space on the hull.

  7. If they followed Canon, at this time in the timeline, the Klingon empire was pretty big, much bigger than the others, followed by the Federation, and then much smaller was the Romulan Star Empire, and lastly the Cardassian Union was quite small.

  8. I have ST Infinite, but it keeps crashing to desktop. Fired up the New Civilizations Stellaris mod and started playing that again and reminded that New Civilizations is a richer experience with all those old alpha and beta canon ships (e.g., Daedalus class, NX Columbia refit class)
