Iconic characters such as Picard, Janeway, Sisko, Data, Gowron, Makbar, Garak are just a few that will be available to their respective factions as recruitable officers. I love Stellaris and I love Star Trek, so this should be right in my alley – because it's basically a Star Trek Stellaris mod. But I must confess… I'm kinda bummed. The main issue to me is that Stellaris always was a fleet-first game, whereas Star Trek was always single-ship/station based. It would be cooler it it was closer to Birth of The Federation in this regard.
I can't wait for ten years from now when we have 30 dlcs for this star trek mod I 1000% am going to buy.
One of the best Star Trek mods I played was on Galactic Civilisation 2. Annoyingly it kept crashing after a while. Years later I’m witnessing a Star Trek strategy based game and I’m excited for it.

I don't know if this is Stellaris as much as it is the spiritual successor to Star Trek birth of the federation. I mean really it's almost the same game, not that that's bad. If you're not of a certain age you might not know the game.

It will be possible to transfer all content to a mod for Stellaris, and if Paradox in this game does normal optimization (for example, multithreading), then it will be possible to transfer all Stellaris as a mod for this game.
