Star Trek: Armada II the classic real-time strategy title published back in 2001 by Activision , officially Licensed Star Trek RTS. Years of fun playing this old game that inspired one of my all time favorite mods.

Yes please a full campaign
I believe it is Alt. That is what allows you to change the travel speed of ships. The minimap always defaults to warp movement, but on acreen defaults to impulse.
best game ever
Please play more. And fleet ops
Glad you covered this game. It's a bit clunkier then EAW but ti's got a lot of character, especially the BORG with their ability to customize their cubes and combine into one giant super cube that decimates everything
Armada II Picard over here looking like Gabriel Angelos' long lost twin.
Would love to see more Star Trek; Armada 2 and 3
Star trek legacy was another great game.
Ooff it has been ages since I played this. A full campain would be nice. Maybe even a fun game for a community evening? as far as I remember there was 8 Player scirmish.
We need a new 5 vs Borg in Sins
Full campaign please🎉
armada 2 is still one of my fav rts, I got it around 2002 and pumped thousands of hours into it. Still have a few fav mods for it, the star wars mod, b5, fleetops is nice. Never been very good with 8472 unfortunately but I love my federation and the Akira is chef kiss
ah, this brings me back. i played this so much is still knew exactly where all the borg basses were. Maybe you should have sent more of your ships back to repair and more importantly, recrew since you always lose crew in combat and less crew means slower repairs. I don't remember if its impacted general ship performance.
Should try STA 3 unofficial game from sins of the solar empire mod. I play literal 1000 hours of that game its so detailed.
God I miss this game is definitely but it today if I could
It's crazy how Sins is basically Armada III, but not-Trek flavoured, but there is a mod for it that is, well, Armada III 😀
A2 was one of my all time favorite games back in the day. Definitely do a full campaign. A few minor pointers… #1. The holding the shift command while placing buildings allows you to adjust the Z Axis. This can make you place mining stations right next to the moon they mine so the dilithium miners have less far to go and resources come in faster. #2. Placing a starbase in orbit of a planet gets it a crew recruitment bonus. I think its double speed, but you'll have to check… #3. If you set the shipyard default movement, alert status, and chase rating; all ships that pop out will have the same default. This will keep you from having to reset each ship one by one. A3 was awesome as well. If you are ever up for an A3 game, I'm totally down.
Turn warp off in settings. Game completely changes in dynamics.
A real blast from the past.
Yes shack! Please do a full campaign. But do the klingon campaign
I want to slap the back of your hands with a ruler every time you put a Mining Station on the right side of the moon! Putting them on the left optimizes their entry and exit from the station!
This game was fun, but I must say that the full conversion to Babylon 5 was pretty incredible. It was buggy and occasionally it would just quit, but they did a great job on all the races' ships.
Played these games so much as a kid. Really wish we'd get a big budget, RTS/4X/etc. Star Trek game for a change. Always blew my mind that despite the popularity (and interesting lore and ship designs) of Star Trek, there's so little marketing stuff for it compared to something like Star Wars. No LEGO sets (I'd kill for a good D'Deridex model lol), just a handful of games nearly all of which are from decades ago, and the only ST games in recent memory are just mods.
Full campaign and get yourself and pally back to w3tw too
Love the video and the game, Allways find my self coming back to Star Trek Armada 2 standalone and its mod Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations
Yes full series!!
Wow what a blast from the past. I helped develop mods for A1 and A2 back in the day.
Just saw this video. I actually have the original game on disc. I had so much fun with it.
Please play the whole thing!
I loved star trek legacy
WE all want a full campaign, pleaase !
Oh, I played the crap out of this game!
Such nostalgia!!
Good to see it again!
I spent so many hours on this and the first game when they came out. Would love to see you try and tackle a playthrough of this
I preferred Armada vs ArmadaII. The gameplay and mechanics was better, less buggy, I had more fun. ArmadaII just had more ships, and you could warp since the maps were massive.
Star Trek: Armada was my introduction to the RTS genre. What a trip down memory lane.
It is funny how you are complaining about how dangerous the bases are but then send fleets to attack non threats instead of the base that is blowing your ships up. Yes killing the mines, research bases, and shipyards is good as it slows progress but they are not as much of an immediate concern as the star base 2 shotting your flag ships. All 4 fleets on the nexus then clean up the other stuff.
Also capturing enemy shipyards is a great way to get free repair yards to maintain your fleet. New ships can't be built(unless your Borg) but you can keep the existing ones healthy
Would love to see a full campaign of this! It looks very cool
Please Do the full campaign of Both Games
Timeless classic 🥰 and even after 20 years of playing this game, it stil surprises me in terms what can be done in this game
