Mr Creamer, matrilineally marry your female courtiers to male courtiers other courts to bring those men into your court, and patrilineally marry men to bring women in. The reason your weak wife was among your champions was because of a shortage of mighty warriors in your court. Use marriage to bring good warriors, court position holders and councillors in.
pls build up the city and don't pump it into more troops. Its not sustainable and I think smart Grignr would notice that
So I know that becoming immortal is a hole to fall in to again, but the dragon cult DOES love a good lich dragon priest. Maybe a zealous Grignr could lead the way into Alduin's glory
Given that you have the trait Dark Insights you should torture your prisoners more, it gives you stats.
If you give a male member of your dynasty the city you can get them to have concubines to produce more Grignrs, if you're ever really desperate.
Perhaps "Grigna the Content" is just content to carry on the family career as pirates and raiders with no aspirations to become a queen of a great realm like previous Grignrs have perhaps wanted. But, her greed could get the better of her and perhaps push her to greatness anyway.
I'm sure you've been notified by now, but your liege can change culture/religion as he likes in your province and i've seen it flip back to eastmarcher/nordic pantheon before the great collapse of winterhold
If you go to your main title's page (click on the shield icon under the stats on your character page), and select "add law" near the bottom, you should be able to switch back to pirate elective. I'm not sure why you lost it a while ago (maybe because you gained a liege?)
Edit: Also, the reason your culture/faith switched back is because of your liege, they can use the same councilor tasks to affect their vassals' land. Now that you're independent it will stick.
I know there's a mechanic where county cultures in the same group always flip to the native one (i. e colovian gets flip to nibenese in eastern cyrodiil) and maybe the eastmarcher nativity region has precedence over the atmoran one? possibly because of the extinct culture modifier? I'm not sure if there's a mechanic for the religion part, but it might be something like how in CK2 low religious authority counties becoming heresies or flip back.
Dear Grignr, please re-add the elective succession to your primary title, having the choice for your successor was really fun and makes for a much better story. It was probably removed because you were not independent.
The reason why culture and religion turns back is because when your island was still part of winterhold, the king/queen of winterhold would basically promote their culture and religion on to your region.
Also General Admiral Grignr IV is the first Grignr to have ever reached 70 prowess out of all the sons and daughters, grandsons and grandaughters born from OG Grignr.
8 living members of the dynasty and the Grignr's are still being so picky with their marriages. Take what you can get Grignrs! Bad Grignrs are better then no Grignrs!

Im assuming the religion switching back is either save game fuckery OR when you were still under winterhold its likely your liege was converting your land with his priest, I don't think you're notified of them even trying to do this, let alone succeeding.
This may or may not be related to the lunatic trait but my ruler died and my people are still nude. Not religion based and was a forced event.
