This week aboard MV Poem I get the house stained, the fo’c’sle hinges installed and ceiling installed on the inside of the hull.
So close to building new cabinetry!

My day job is design and 3D visualization of custom homes.

Some viewers may be interested in some previous videos about Land Rovers. They’re at my previous channel, Riverport Rovers.

Here is the build series about my truck. A rather modified Series II Land Rover.

I rather silly build and road trip to the famous Land Rover Winter Romp in Maine.

A slightly less silly road trip to Cape Breton that does involve painting flames on a Land Rover.

The series that started it all. A crazy plan to build a Land Rover in one day from assorted bits lying around.

There’s a few other videos that might be of interest at Riverport Rovers including the beginning of a Boler trailer refit.

Gel stain…I'm sold and impressed. Very nice Peter.
Magic and Butt Blocks is the trick
"Oh, I just used metric…" Thats ok, I slip sometimes too. So long as you still have 2x4s you are ok. 😉 I do use the word centigrade rather than that other word that makes one sound like they have had too many beers of the week. (I will note that the "S.I. unit" for temperature is actually Kelvin anyway) On Board of course, we all use knots, not those kilo things… we only use Kilo to denote K, much we we only ever use Quebec to denote the letter Q… If we were actually talking about the province it would be Kabbek (at least if you wanted to pronounce it right). I suppose one could just say Lower Canada too…
I’m on board with using Tim Vuckman as the WOTW! 😂
I'm all on board with Tim Vuckman winning the shirt. Maybe he should get a complimentary first stay on M V Poem to go with it, for being such a good sport.
I was hoping the word of the week was Tim Vuckman.
I was On Board a classic wooden boat when the sea's became confused, next thing I knew, I was in the head, where I took a Tim and wiped my Vukman.
A study I read showed oregano and thyme oils were more effective than tea tree oil against fungi.
These oils are effective because they reduce the ability for organisms to communicate with one another (quorum sense) and become superbugs by working together. You have to be careful not to use too much of them as they can be endocrine disruptors.
Can't wait to see the finished product your careful craftsmanship is showing.
Stay safe, and we'll see you next week .
Tea Tree Oil also cures toenail fungus. Not that that is important or anything. It kind of is magic.
Congrats on episode #350 Peter
That being said, I'd love to stay a week or two onboard MV Poem if I get the opportunity. Even together with Tim Vuckman if so be. He's gotta be a great guy by the sound of it 😁
There once was a man from Vancouver
Who set up his overnight stays in his Cruiser
Tim Vuckman won he’s now onboard having fun.
Peter Knowles can have a beer and now use her.
Tim's been trying to fly under the radar all his life and all of a sudden he's a YouTube celebrity, go with the flow Tim, you may get on board. 👍
Although it would be great to stay onboard Poem with Tim Vuckman, I honestly hope I can stay onboard Poem with my girlfriend this summer😊. Keep up the great work! Your woodworking skills keeps amazing me.
Peter thank you amazing progress. I can also say I love ‘word of the week’. Cheers
Ti-Tree oil comes from boiling the foliage of the native Australian Ti-tree and skimming the oil off. Good for skin rashes and as an antiseptic. Love your work from AUS.
Great work , takes me from my 35c to see people with coats on!! Love tea tree oil , good in hot water to clear your nose . I have 10 or more growing in my yard. North AUSTRAILA.
Loving the guitar track on this, your 350th. Also the neat little hing trick. Please don't assume all Brits have the same taste in beer as Owen – my favourite is a circusy hazy brewed in the Great Republic of Yorkshire by Vocation. Even Tim Vuckman probably likes it
Where can we find the outtakes of You two pronouncing Tim’s name after five beers?
Glory be Tim Vuckman, you used metric!
Interesting, in the UK we call Butt Blocks on timber boats -'Prayer Books'
Peter, you are a fasinating person. Love your channel.
Beer of the week ,looks like you had more than one pint onboard so to speak!
On board or Onboard
I hope Tim Vuckman is Onboard with his new celebrity status. Congrats to Tim! I cannot wait to hear more about the chance to stay on or day cruise on Poem. What a great thing that would be. 🥰
I'd be onboard to schedule a trip to see MV Poem when completed!! It's such a cool transformation you are creating!
Congratulations on episode 350. We can definitely get on board Poem this summer. We would love to make that happen, whatever it takes!
Thank you so much for the tea tree oil tip, I will be ordering a vat of it! Not really but I have ordered a bottle. The condensation has been particularly horrific this year, worst I've ever experienced, with awful book destroying consequences. I've had to replace all of my rugs as well. Needless to say I will be working on more insulation.
Hey, maybe Tim has some pointers 😆
Hi
I love your " Travels with Geordie"
"ON BOARD" is the magic word
Thanks for the fun all these years
Very nice explanation of ventilation in wooden sides of Poem! I also appreciate thoughts and use of MinWax. 😊😊😊😊 thx for bringing us along! Ken
So much for the guide block
Fantastic progress again Peter, great entertainment.
