  1. Did I hear that right? 15.09…."Wolfman is right" Never thought I'd hear the day that Jeremiah admits it πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Yes, front brake, right hand side, it's the correct way round. You guys also drive on the wrong side of the road πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I like the look of those brakes, they've got some really good features, looking forward to the realtime.

    Stay safe my friend πŸ»πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

  2. The front is $107 and the rear is $137 ($244 total, sans shipping.) For that kind of money, I could have me some nice, reliable, and affordable brakes built out of Shimano BR-MT520 calipers (de-branded Deore 6100, with ceramic pistons,) BL-MT401 levers, and BH90 hydraulic lines – for two bikes!

  3. I'll definitely keep and eye out for the real-time review on the DB8 brakes. From what I've read they are basically Code brakes that have been changed to handle mineral oil vs. DOT fluid that SRAM uses on all their other brakes. Of couse, the fittings are different for the bleed ports to prevent(make it less likely) anyone from using a DOT brake bleed kit and cross contaminating them. Good news is that you guys already have the mineral oil SRAM uses in them around the shop, since I do believe I've seen you use Maxima oil from Finish Line when Jeremiah "attempts" brake bleeds successfully.

  4. Hey guys – unrelated question to this video: I scooped up an Axum DP and am looking to replace the fork. The stock fork on the Axum DP is actually a straight tube, even though the Axum DP has a tapered head tube. Kind of silly they did that if you want to go tapered fork as you'd need a new bottom headset.

Without swapping out the QR hub, getting a new thru-axle hub and getting a fork with a thru-axle, I'm trying to stay QR and looking at the Epixon 29 120mm QR (straight tube.) Or, do I get a slightly better fork with the RockShox Judy Gold RL 29 120mm QR that's tapered and just get a new bottom headset ZS56/40 and top headset ZS44/286 and call it a day?

Guess my question is, is the Rockshox worth spending about $80 more?

  5. I just had a random thought for another video for you guys to do. How about doing a video with some Wolftick nation members helping Jeremiah learn patience so he can be better at brake bleeds! Or tubeless tire installs. Sometimes I think I still see all that sealant he spilled on the workbench in the videos.

  6. I hate SRAM after owning Avids and other SRAM systems, total POS brake system and I hear some SRAM brake systems are garbage as well. Go Shimano if you have to spend money on a brake system and want a brake system that doesn't fail. Brake levers not returning to position, horrible to bleed and dot fluid were major issues with SRAM brake system garbage I have owned.

  7. I have those k rad tires on my 20” bmx , they roll so smooth on pavement and grip great on dirt and gravel ! I also have the mt200 and zoom4 because of this channel. Thanks

  8. I've always preferred to work with mineral oil over Dot due to Dot's aggressive nature. If mineral oil is such a great brake fluid, why isn't it used in cars? Bottom line if I was 50 years younger and a serious downhill rider or racer, I would stick with Dot that can probably deal with higher temps and abuse. I'm not, so 3 out of my 4 bikes are running mineral oil Shimanos. Another benefit of mineral oil is if you have dry skin you can rub on your body. We have a lot of mosquitoes this year. I'm mixing it with Deet and rubbing it all over my body before Iride near any wetlands. We have frogs where I live; they eat mosquitoes. Hopefully they will eat enough mosquitoes that I can stop with the Deet and mineral oil. I now have an oily ring in my shower and mineral oil isn't cheap.
