  1. "I've been unfairly banned!" — every cheater ever.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's happened somewhere, sometime. But for the most part it's a myth. Like a glowing, rainbow-striped unicorn. Let's be honest, basically every cheater that gets caught runs somewhere to proclaim his innocence.

  2. Unfortunately, Kiriyu is a "crypto bro". So, this change in leadership is not likely to change the company's direction. Unless to board mandates such a change, which is also unlikely.
Edit: you mentioned as much. My bad. I had hoped SquareEnix would not have gone down this road. But, alas, the boulevard of broken dreams has claimed many a giant corporation.

  3. Anyone who files false dmca's should be automatically fined for the amount they claim for, seems everyday some retard who thinks they are owed something is claiming other peoples work because someone else did something they think is plagiarism.

Would stop major corporations too, either sue and go to court immediately or eat the but hurt fine.

  4. I got into warcraft 3 in high-school. The lord of the rings movies were coming out. Wow was thriving. Dota Allstars. The introduction to hearthstone. Blizzard lost me in shadowlands. Hearthstone is only good for battle grounds but nowadays I only play dota 2. Valve just dropped a highly anticipated big patch for dota and they gave us a hero with a mini patch.

  5. As someone who hates FIFA loot boxes and Sony's pissy attitude regarding the merger of Activision-Blizzard and Microsoft, I can't help but smile at watching both of them take a sideways hit by the Austrian Government.

  6. I hope Matsuda retires graciously because this is a very tumultuous time for Square Enix with mixed AAA games outside xiv. And to be honest as an avid xiv player I'll just say they are very lucky to have good writers to carry the game because the gameplay is akin to a flailing namazu now. We'll see how XVI pans out and I'm looking hopeful for it.

  8. Modders are great- but some of them are the most auteur, self-centered, unhinged people ever.
It's like "artist's first popular work" and they get very controlling about it's perception or the community forming.
That guy who DMCA'd Workers and Resources is certainly living in the clouds and if he goes full scorched-earth this easily- I can't imagine him IRL.

  9. Fuck that cosmonaut mode guy. I'm as anti corp as the next commie and thats not how anything works. They didn't steal code or an art asset from someones mod. Players ask for increasing difficulties all the time. Imagine if game devs just stopped updating their games because a community member could say they suggested the idea first. This guy is trying to bully an indie dev legally to screw them over. Great "Community member" he was.

  10. The funny(or sad) thing is that one of the teams banned for cheating managed to make to a major right before this banhammer dropped, and got eliminated in groups and ridiculed on the internet for it. So not only were there haters on the internet calling them cheaters during the whole group stage of the tournament, they got the unique humiliation of the haters being proved right.

  11. Right, I'm going to quickly say this about the last part of the video – you need to change your headline. I came into this worried and prepared to be angry at Valve for fudging something up and making 40,000 people upset. Now I'm sitting here stunned and in a state where I should be happy that those people were cheaters but now disappointed. I understand you guys do news and you need to be catchy, but please don't fall into obvious clickbait. It makes you look bad.

Edit – Good to see that your game is doing well on Steam, I still haven't had a chance to buy it yet but I'm looking forward to doing so.

  12. Imagine making a guide for a game you enjoy enough to create a challenge run for and then being salty enough when the devs see it and try to implement it that you try to make it so no one can play it.

  13. Valve Shut down that type of secondary market by stopping funds being removed from Steam Wallets, to use no secondary market defence EA used, the same one one that failed here.
Contrary to what most people think, Valve's objection to Blockchain was limited to extracting funds from Steam to uphold this legal position.
Valve didn't stop the secondary market though, just restricted the card trading to Steam, a new secondary market arose, most of the money exchanged is off Steam, just like with EA,.

  14. Happy Death Day was a pretty good "Groundhog Day" Horror comedy movie. lol One that did what I thought would be impossible
They made a sequel to a "time loop" movie that was alright and worked story-wise.

  15. What most people also don't realize, is that the disgruntled player that DMCA'd everything against that indie studio, was a lawyer that was abusing his power, and (through speculation) the strikes were most likely countered/dropped because had they actually gone to court, said player would've lost far more.
