  1. Watched film on Gray. I expect that by mid-season he's going to have a lot of fans. He really does look NFL-ready. He may never be a pro-bowl running back, but I think that he will be a productive running back from the get-go.

  2. Not sure why Eric Gray is getting Ahmad Bradshaw comparison. Besides being small and a third day pick, he runs nothing like AB. Doesn't have great acceleration, no fifth gear, shies away from contact, okay (but not great) vision, uses a spin move way too much (will get annihilated in the NFL). There is some upside to EG, but it's very questionable whether he will transition to the NFL well.

  4. I had Eric Gray & Jalin Hyatt on my College Football Fantasy league last season. Everyone already knows about Hyatt & his exploits At Tennessee. But Gray flew under the radar on a national level… but he was very productive, in every aspect of the game. Ironically, he & Hyatt were teammates briefly at Tenn., until Gray transferred to Ok.
And you have to realize, his productivity was way up there in the annals of single season RB’s, AND this was the season after Spencer Rattler flopped as a Heisman candidate., and transferred to So. Carolina. So the focus of the O changed from ‘21 to ‘22… and Gray stepped up. Great lower body strength, excellent in pass pro. AND catching the ball out of the backfield.
This is a total grade A pick, especially as a 5th rounder!

  5. IMO if you have to scheme around Neal this year, and hopefully we don't, he's gone next year, or he's a guard next year, you can not have an ineffective right tackle. This O-line has been atrocious for too long to carry a poor O-lineman
