  1. This looks like a really awesome game. Contra is a legendary game and this really seems to replicate a lot of the fun features, including the flip jumps that make Contra so original. The cockroach and spider/dinosaurs bosses were really cool but like you, I enjoy the element of surprise when encountering a boss at the end of the level rather than seeing previews of each of them ahead of time. It looks like a really fun game and we enjoyed your review.

  2. Honestly, most of the weapons fire so slowly and the scrolling deaths are bs.
Co-op would have been better without it.
This does so little for the genre, and most people will start to ignore 80% of the power ups while playing.
It's a mess of a game thanks to their origin on Apple Arcade, and while the animations, characters, and art are Saturday morning cartoon perfect, the soundtrack is pretty generic, the story is garbage, and the opening 'movie' is the best part.
The gun play is a chore and most novice players will never see the end without someone to play with.
It's not even 'getting good', when enemies respawn and cheap deaths are literally everywhere.
