  6. Best part of Willem Defoe in this is that he insisted that if he came back he had a bad ass fight and that he do a majority of the stunts. So good!

    Oh and Ned in The Comics is a sorcerer and also the definitive version of The Hob Goblin so Ned’s, “I promise not to betray you and try to kill you.” Is an in joke and a direct reference to the fact that in pretty much every other universe, that’s 100% something Ned does. Now that MCU Ned has magic and had his memories wiped they’ve set up the story so in the next trilogy he will probably snap and become that universes Hobgoblin.

    My money is on the theory that in the next film Ned and MJ will struggle having 2 versions of themselves rolling around in their heads. Almost similar to how in The Superior Spider-Man after Doc Oc swapped himself in to Peter’s body killing Peter who stayed dead for a while. It wasn’t until he realized Peters consciousness was still buried in his subconscious, slowly asserting his dominance. After Octavius almost went bat shit insane he separated himself from Peter because he truly is The Superior Spider-Man.

    All that to say that if Peter were to show back up in their lives and the old memories fight for control. Peter prioritizes protecting MJ.

    It will be the thing Peter focuses on first and Ned will snap because he doesn’t understand that he’s focusing on MJ because he knows his best friend, how smart he is and how strong they’re loyalty is for each other and has faith Ned will be able to stay strong and resolute. Unfortunately he’s not taking in to account that there are two versions of Ned in his body and one of them knows Peter was is best friend but he still made him forget without his consent.

    After that all the jealousy and rage leads in to the genesis of Hobgoblin. I’m assuming one of the 3 new films will have a storyline much like Captain America: Winter Soldier where Peter has to get his friend back and remind him who he is before he hurts a ton of people.

    A writer named Marc Bernardin shared a different reason why Peter was stopped from killing Green Goblin.

    The other Aunt May’s walk through the multiverse and reminded Tom Holland’s Spider-Man of his Great Responsibility and to not become a monster with his great power.

    This should have been the ending.

    Marc’s ending is correct and brings me to tears every time i think about it. 😢

  20. You asked how did we beat Sandman. Spiderman teamed up with Harry Osborne. Harry used the flames from his glider to turn a large bit of Sandman into glass. That incapacitated him while Spidey and Harry fought Venom to save MJ.
