  1. The most disturbing part of all this in my opinion is the sandman. technically apart of a PG/PG-13 universe but becomes R rated because of a 4th wall break.

The way of that kill is extremely disturbing too.

I imagine these comics were created because the grotesque body horror is shock value bait and they needed the sales.

  2. People forget that Sandman not only can fly but is potentially an avenger level threat easily
Not to mention immortal throwing his Queen bee Sand (Soul sand ig) into the sun wont work since Future sandman failed to die by the sun

  3. This particular comic always hold a special place in my heart, since the storyline is one I actually remember from the Fox Kids saturday morning Spider Man cartoons, or at least the 'pure' version before Zombie Spiderman royally screws everything up. So seeing it horribly and brutally corrupted even as they ape the art style where they can (more of the comic's art style sure, but close enough for me) is a special warped treat.

I do wonder what effect the tablet would have though, if any, on a Marvel-Verse Zombie. The virus is clearly some level of supernatural or at least super science, being somewhat 'conscious' as shown in later parts of the Marvel Zombies series. So another source of supernatural power that's effectively the opposite of the all consuming hunger gospel might actually beat it…or merely be a fancy if effective way of putting down a Marvel Zombie for good.

  4. They… really could’ve done without those middle panels. It doesn’t detract from the visual storytelling without them, in fact, it adds more. I don’t think it would’ve been as disturbing with thst inflated Spider-Man honestly.

  5. alot of people always use the argument that heros hold back and they are way more powerful than they show which is true but stories like this show that its not just heros that do it. sandman completely destroyed spiderman here when he wasnt holding back. i mean he literally killed him.

  6. Truth be told I hated Marvel Zombies.

It's just too… much. Dark doesn't suffice it's just heroes ruining everything for everyone, the worst of all outcomes, and disturbing to the point of becoming genuinely sickening.

It has genuinely made me hate zombies with a burning passion as a writer. It's just miseryporn. Worse than Ruins in that regard.

  7. No I didn’t like this story. The Marvel Zombie series is one of the most uncreative series they ever did and it’s only redemption is the fact that it all emerged from the Evil Dead universe.

They worked very, very hard to tie this in to every Marvel Universe and while it wasn’t as bad as the events I was already tired of zombies by this time.

At eight years old you were too young to read this.

  8. I love how Sandman of all people is the only one who was smart enough to gtfo of the city. Tragic however he killed the real good spiderman and probably didn’t realize Zombie Spiderman was still alive.

  9. I think the most disturbing thing in this comic is that Spiderman actually enjoyed eating his loved ones, and his first thought upon seeing an alive MJ was wishing that he could feast on her flesh once again.

Something about that rubs me the wrong way in just the right way, especially when you remember that Peter was fully concious when he attacked them.
