The latest patch for Gungrave G.O.R.E. dropped (will be getting a new actual PB on it soon, don’t worry!) and I decided to do a full run with Bunji Kugashira, also known as The Wolf! This patch changed a handful of level designs in the game, as well as making Bunji Kugashira an unlockable character. Bunji was previously only playable on one full mission, as well as one section of the final mission, so this speedrun was pretty fun to do. Was hoping they’d make him fully playable and I got my wish. Bunji’s movement is pretty unique with his burst mode having dodges that can cancel into each other, so learning to control that better as the run went on was pretty awesome. Overall he is slower than Brandon so I’m not sure if he’ll ever see use in the Any% speedrun outside of his regular sections, but overall I had a great time playing as him. This speedrun is also my first run of Gungrave G.O.R.E. on keyboard and mouse, which I definitely think is the move going forward as well. Much better control over and movement in general.
Also a note: pretty cool skip at 2:04:04, similar to the death drive skip that Grave can do.
