It does feel like this game is for kids.
You are forced to kill Dinosaurs
You are forced to raise Dino armies and fight others to do more Dino killing.
Nothing nuanced bout this Survival game.

Trolls in the comments aside, I really liked the stream. I am going to assume that the majority did as well given the number of gifts, subs, and memberships.
You and the rest of the Chaos Crew are always a fun time, no matter what you play.
You will have so much more fun in ARK if you don't try and play it like 7DTD. GNS tried the same and it was a facepalm after facepalm painful experience. Learn to build traps with walls and ramps and tickle chickens are easy pickings. Love the effort though! All for a great cause.

Ark is the embodiment of chaos. Fitting for the Chaos Crew 😁. Two adjustments I would suggest – add some kind of death recovery mod if you haven’t already. This way when you die you can quickly grab your stuff and don’t get stuck in deathloops trying to snag your gear. The other is to either d/l a mod or change the settings on your bed to minimize their cooldown so you don’t need to build 30 bunk beds for the amount of folks on the team.
The game is a lot of fun if you make it past the steep learning curve!
Good on you Spanj for giving ARK a go, I know it's a glitchy as hell game with a crappy UI and learning curve. It has its own charm and is an addiction to dino and survival game fans. So thanks for treating us Ark fans.

I did however feel bad for you when I realized your most experienced player was your best communicator (Thats Sarcasm).
I have not played Ascended, because it is just a reskin with better loot drops. Loot drops are not worth $40.00 if that is all your getting.
I highly enjoyed the game play. So much complaining about surviving in a survival game. It is a rough start with this game but you get over the humps and are victorious. Please continue this gameplay and help your channel. You saw the results of your playing this game. This game gets better and so will the fun factor. Cheers.
Nice play! You make crazy spaceships Spanj, and when you see what has been built in Ark by players like you, I think you are at least one of the top in terms of architecture. But you're right, there is still a lot to be done by the developer. Anyway, you and your team are great!
Someone should have taught spanj about building traps and luring them in.
Really enjoy watching new players try Ark, it's always great for laughs for us folks with an embarrassing number of hours in the game LOL. Good tip for Spanj and crew, if you make the others admins in the tribe log (you were calling it the social screen), then they can take care of the needed invites to get the other sin while you have fun. Then everyone can build as needed and put goods in boxes and share XP and all. It can be a lot for one person to have to do all the invites.
OMFG Laney giving directions to play Ark is like Stevie Wonder teaching a driving class! Ironwulf needs to get Laney mellowed before the next stream to bring her down to 0.5X speed so Spanj has half a chance to follow her LOL!

Getting to end of the playback, gotta saw you guys had me cracking up at times, and wanting t crawl through the monitor and scream instructions at more times. It's got a heck of a learning curve for new players, so you didn't do too bad. The theri spawns around that base were crazy. The thing to remember is that certain dinos spawn in certain areas, so if theri's are there, they'll just keep spawning new ones as you kill them. Probably better to move a ways up the shore in either direction : ) Can't wait for the next one!
I have spent 1-2% of my life logged into that bloody game. Lot of afk for the offline timer but still.. never again.
