Big differences in the USA between state taxes and additive requirements. California requires a separate gasoline supply and has the highest fuel taxes in the USA.
$7.00/gallon if probably California. $3.99/gallon is mid west to east coast. It's about $3.40 in Boston area. Yes, there are approx. 4 liters per gallon. Our prices are rising because our senile president is screwing the oil industry.
It's liberal states with high taxes which make the gas (perol) 40% than states with lower taxes. In Los Angeles the regular gas is $7.05/gal. In Florida it's $4.20/gal
Buenas noches, Stu. Permit me to compute the petrol equivalent $ to euros ? First, 3.78 liters= 1 US gallon. Thus, at $3.99 per gallon, one gets $3.99/3.78 = $1.055 per liter. To convert to euros, let's use $1.12 per euro though it may not be today's rate of exchange. So, $1.055/1.12 = 0.942 euro per liter. Petrol prices vary widely in the US, e.g., Florida vs California, regular unleaded 87 octane and other grades. About 5 weeks ago I paid $3.00 per gallon regular. Cheers from Florida.
As far as I am concerned, it might be “bad for the government” but it is much worse for the people and not just in Spain. Most of the world is in the same “boat”, therefore, there are many governments who “miscalculated” or simply couldn’t care less for us mortals. Find it somewhat irritating that Americans are complaining about their gas prices. For decades they had more than cheap prices and, even now, their price rises are laughable comparing to Europe’s. Notwithstanding their much higher salaries. Nothing is gained by complaining, it is what it is. The time will come at the voting booth but as history teaches us, usually those who complain the most are absent. I went to Consum yesterday, bought UHT, the one I use anyway, plenty of meat, bread, oil (although expensive), flour … Orihuela Costa. Stop panic buying!
$3.99 a gallon. Sounds like a bargain. In Canada we are paying $2.00 per litre, which is cheap for EU, but per gallon I think that is something close to $8.00
The government has no plans to take the new tolls off the roads? That would rub salt into the wounds of the transport workers.
