Why would anyone pay 10's of times more to send payloads to orbit on anything other than a F9? Make it make sense…Is it bc it's taxpayer dollars so who cares?

Starliner would loose a lot of confidence and money from the space industry as the customers would put them as 2nd rate capsules whereas Elon Musk would be laughing all the way to the bank with his reliable up to now, SpaceX capsules.
It would be good though if they can fix these problem permanently .Good for redundancy when things go wrong from either capsules.
Failing the flight readiness review would be a big deal for NASA and Boeing. I suspect that is why they delayed it – there are probably open issues that are preventing some from being willing to approve readiness and neither side wants that to happen. For me, if I was on the review, I would want a thorough formal risk analysis for the return that demonstrates that NASA's crew risk numbers have been met before I approved a return. To do that, Boeing has to assign likelihood and severity to each risk and NASA has to agree to those. Often it is easy to agree on the severity but agreeing on likelihood can be difficult and often requires a lot of trust. Boeing's faulty analysis of the same failure on the uncrewed flight might have eroded that confidence – it would have for me. Boeing already failed the first uncrewed test flight and had to repeat it at their cost. I am sure there are a lot of pressures from Boeing management to not repeat that for the crewed flight and some might feel that pressure is affecting Boeing's risk analysis. On the other side, NASA knows what happened to them when they lost astronauts (on the Shuttle) and so they are probably very risk adverse and they have little incentive to cut Boeing any slack. Another issue is that evidently the crewed Starliner does not have the SW on it to support uncrewed undocking and entry. I wonder if NASA knew that before the launch. Boeing seems to be exceedingly at digging holes.
If the catch fails will the tank farm survive?

The 20 expended hot staging rings could also include reflights of block 1 boosters, so maybe block 2 boosters aren't that far away after all
I feel like each version of the raptor they just remove more parts that are actually necessary to function for the photoshoot. There's no way the engine looks that bare when they mount it on the booster/starship.
They sent the Starliner up to the ISS without any autopilot software to return it. How badly managed can this get?

I suspect that no horizontal transport of starship or superheavy wil notl be practical due to their length – There is a maximum allowed due to curves intersections of the interstate system. even gas shipments are subject to the same limits. There are also bridge/overpass limits (many under 13 feet) so even the 9 meter diameter would prevent shipments over any significant distance is impossible.
As a Moon race kid in the sixties I’m both thankful for Elon Musk and SpaceX but frustrated why it’s taken this long. Twenty to thirty years lost. Guess that’s selfish but seems sad more young people aren’t supporting SpaceX.

What if automotive engineers focused on new internal combustion engine designs using 3-D printing and A I to create a new engine design that enhanced fuel efficiency, increased horsepower, and reduced weight? One area that comes to mind is doing something with hot exhaust gases RE-igniting the exhaust with more fuel then RE-routing the power generated back through impellers that geared back to the driveshaft? Is something like that possible with a net gain in break horsepower? 👍🖖😊
i’m still subscribed, but I’ve noticed that your videos (which I think I always like after watching ) stopped showing up in my feeds roughly a month ago. If your views per video are going down, I think a change in the algorithm is to blame.
There is reason to believe V3 involves the most advanced 3D metal additive mfg. in the world.
MAYBE AUSTRAL SHIPS WILL GET A CONTRACT TO BUILD THE TRANSPORT SHIP TO TRANSPORT IT BACK TO THE US, BUT THERE WAS ALSO A RUMOR SPACE MIGHT BE LAUNCHING FROM AUSTRALIA AS WELL
I do NOT want to be negative and would LOVE for Boeing to finally get their act together, but my feeling is, those astronauts will not be returning on starliner. However, my fingers are crossed that capsule eventually becomes reliable and SAFE!!!!

At 2:42 I had this thought that yeah I'm aware it is one of the yuuugest vessels to be, but there on that road… it was easier to perceive & appreciate the Moloch it is
when they where doing all the power line upgrades a few years back I said they should have also run a Water Main in those trenches so they could not only resupply the pads water deluge but get RUNNING WATER to Boca Chica.

Why construct a pipeline from Brownsville? Why not just de salinate sea water, there a frigging ocean on their doorstep. If the authorities keep putting ridiculous parameters on launch times, launch numbers and test burns and the like they will eventually piss Musk off enough that he will move elsewhere, the loss that would be to that part of Texas would be huge.
