Today I’ve got a quite diverse range of topics. SpaceX’s Double Starship Action in Texas seeing colossal ships in movement, but so much more. The mind-bending JWST Pillars of Creation image. We have Starlink Airplane Support along with another amazing launch enabling even more flexible connections to the internet than ever. ESA is selecting a new launch provider for the Euclid Telescope, and ULA’s Vulcan finally receives that installation that we’ve been waiting all year for. The Crew 4 mission appears to have been “Delightfully Boring”. Some interesting updates on the Firefly mission. Not quite as smooth as it may have first appeared. And yes, a few other incredible things to talk about too.

  1. this is very wrong i dont know why elon musk listen to youtuber. he should continue how NASA left off easier and feasible…he should have perfected vertical lift off not a rocket type approach. just look at space shuttle approach

  2. EUCLID telescope. It’s not as if SpaceX hasn’t demonstrated the ability to launch then launch again and again. They seem to be able to react fast and solve problems. So slotting in just another F9 launch a year away shouldn’t be that difficult.

On the side I believe the F9 is now the most launched civilian rocket ever.

  3. The kicker for redshift in the red direction is that not only is the light stretched but the act of stretching reduces the energy of the light. That means the amplitude or height of the wave decreases. So these light sources are not only far away and the light is spread over a bigger area as it spreads out as it travels but then the redshift itself further decreases the lights energy. And that’s why JWST exists.

  4. I don't understand how non space-x rocket manufacturers stay in business. i guess there is so much demand that customers prefer to pay a lot more for a launch than wait for a space x rocket to become available. it seems absurd that every other company is throwing their entire rocket away after each launch.

  5. Is SpaceX just wasting time or stalling for the nukes to drop. Best to wait until the SLS to launch oh wait NASA failed that also, Elon Musk better send that thing up before interests will drop on NASA's Artimis programme.

  6. Missing matter?
Not really a problem – interesting to get better understanding of these things – but not worrying.
Genesis said God only created light on day one – and a few days later he created the sun ==> conclusion with God light is the promise – the reality may be a day or two later.
Add to that it says He created the stars we use for times and seasons etc. so it is quite possible – from the text – to understand that some of those 'far away' stars and galaxies are not yet created – we have only the light as a promise for Elon's kids… It would be interesting to know how many galaxy's God has created since His first week's work in our universe. I'm sure He could have finished all by now – but if matter is missing then maybe not… Keep up the research and data collection. Love the work Marcus.

  7. Lots of playing with the Lego pieces, but nothing has flown for a long time. Lots of theory, but SpaceX isn’t going to know if any of this stuff is going to actually fly. NASA learned quickly: actual flights are the best providers of data and proof. So many changes, so much tweaking. Why not design carefully, assemble carefully, then fly to test the validity of your work. So many boosters, so many stacking bits. It’s becoming an exercise in the abstract use of stainless steel…

  8. Did you know? Elon speaks some german. In german language "bohren" means to tunnel. So the boring company isn't just boring, it is also tunneling. That double expression in 2 languages is just genius in my opinion.

  9. The prospect of an RUD on or near the pad, with all the infrastructure so close……always puts me in mind of the ending of Doppleganger/journey to the far side of the sun…..where the Dove spacecraft, damaged because of the entire point of the film, crashes into its launch complex wiping out all trace of itself and most of the entire eurosec space programme. Give ole Musky's fondness for Gerry Anderson stuff (Moonbase Alpha anyone), he's bound to have seen it and have that same niggle in the back of his mind

  10. The role of Elon Musk in the development of new technologies is important and deserves respect. But his activity and the opportunity for creativity exists thanks to people. The modern world allows us to provide a tool that can make a useful adjustment to his work. We need a site where a large number of experts will develop a general recommendation to Elon Musk for an actual project of our time. He will not want to ignore such helpful advice and will invest in the right direction.
