  1. Landing on Mars is the EASY part, but TERRAFORMING Mars will be the most difficult challenge in all of HUMAN HISTORY. I do wonder though how are people going to live on Mars without money though because here on Earth we can just go to our banks withdraw some cash to buy goods and services, none of those things will be readily available on Mars though.

  2. The future starts. By the way, I have difficulty communicating because I had a stroke in Broca’s area, the part of the brain that controls speech. 2/8/2021 but I lived again. (My wife helped me compose this.)

  3. Not Mars. By the time humans are actually ready to make such a long journey there will be much more capable hardware available to use. Going to Mars, with people, is still over 30 years away.

The longest human beings have survived away from local Earth-space was just a few weeks during Apollo 17. A minimum 2-year span too far from Earth to be rescued, too far for air, water, and food. Literally on their own for 700 days .. Elon is being hyperbolically optimistic.
