Starship Block 2 is here, and it’ll only have the payload capacity of a New Glenn rocket? The first parts of the new flame diverter have been spotted. We’re finally taking a first-ever official look into SpaceX’s mysterious Lunar Starship mockup! How’s that coming along? Will it be ready in time? What’s inside??? And Blue Origin preps for new Glenn’s static fire while dealing with regulators.

Quiz Time! No Cheating! In your opinion, what's the biggest difference between Block 1 and Block 2 Starships?
When viewing Starship Flight 5 launch, I was impressed with the size of the fireball and the spaceship rising out of the fireball as it started its ascent
Then I thought how wasteful and that the fireball is a product of bad design.
All that energy in the fireball should be captured like the barrel of a gun. Instead of just letting those gasses escape, particularly rockets like Starship which have such powerful engines should be launching from a long cylinder in the ground of incredibly hard bedrock and shot out of the ground. The described fire trenches should be minimized or eliminated completely
your hindi audio track is in female voice
I've been hanging out with Jordan down here.Great work guys.
Quiz Anser: The wings fold all of the waY BACK?
Why not move the cockpit/control area further up into the nose area to facilitate MORE room for cargo, crew and lab areas? It should open up another complete level inside. All that open space inside not put good use. smile
I still loath ladders for the inside, i want a central spiral staircase which the steps can fold up so in 0G it is just a passageway. ladder suck to carry anything up and down especially in any sort of space suit. no need for elevator and could easily add a light weight winch if they need to lift heavier object up through center.
BRO WTF IS YOUR HINDI DUB AUDIO
Xbox YouTube app has no English audio track option for this video. It defaults to Japanese for me.
NASA is redundant and a huge wasteful bureaucracy that needs to go away. No value add to the space program and needs to go. Starship is nothing more than a powered fairing. Hard to imagine a crewed starship. Never going to catch a manned starship.
You forgot the horizontal bit when rendering the crew cabins in the HLS mock-up
Starship is the first futuristic ship interior that resembles what we see in sci fi movies. That was a small version of the bridge on the Enterprise.
…remember sci-fi movies from 70 years ago? Rockets looked like what SpaceX is doing now…
oh please dear felix, let me do the german(austrian) audio track. i can provide professional audio work
hmu! pm !
Less dramatics. More reporting, please.
i thought it was call MECHAZILLA. Only the Chinese copycat version they themselve call it chopticks.
Starship is by far more powerful than New Glenn. I know you said "ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL", but I think it's important information to share that it's not even close to Starship. 🙂
Genial 👋😎 🚀✨
What about using several starships replacing ISS?
An airlock on the nozzle similar to Dragon. Imagine the volume,
How do they plan to get the Artemis astronauts back from the moon and then re-enter the atmosphere? Will the HLS get a heatshield eventually?
We are decades past the period when NASA, a government agency, was expelling hydrazine into the environment from its launches–which was the impetus for getting the EPA involved in space launches. The worst thing coming out of launches these days, private launches, is often nothing worse than tap water. It is absurd that busybody bureaucrats are involved at all.
@wai why would they wait until flight 8 or 9 to use new and better engines?
It looks like the chopsticks on the new tower will be arrange perpendicularly to the side of the tower, rather than the 45 degree angle that we were used to…check where the OLM will be on the new tower :p
350 tons more to 3,300 tons is 10%, not 25%.
comment…
What about towel rack 1 and towel rack 2 , in reference to hitchhiker to the galaxy.
Elon Musk is a threat to America.
So in the end, will it still be compatible with the mass and volume requirements of Starlab?
They're designing on the assumption of eventually doing a single Starship launch of their station.
Hi Felix, danke für den deutschen Audiotrack 🤗
How am I the only person that realizes that you need 2 towers. You can't catch both on the same tower.
> China thanks you for your detailed update on upcoming Block 2 Starship/Superstack developments.
– In return, they will present us with "Zip" on their future developments.
It's the the time tested Communist version of sharing know how.
– "You scratch my back & I'll ride on yours."
Excelente en español.
When we ca see some landing legs on starship?
It's already been 3 weeks since the last launch? it feels like it was yesterday.
German AI voice is really bad. But with one click in the video settings it can be reset to English original. That helped in my case, and now I have Felix back 😊
Lunar Starship HLS will not be ready for Artemis III in September 2026. 2029 is more realistic.
That is, if Artemis II even launches next year.
Funny portuguese female voice dubbing
When you talked about ship's 2's extra 300 tones of propellant – you highlighted the booster's row.
The french audio is horrible 😮😂❤
Back to your really good English 👍
If SpaceX manage to develop this system to the levels intended they have a potential system they could supply to other nations, many nations can’t develop space service systems due to the costs and lack of expertise.
Maybe SpaceX could build launch systems for them and either train locals to run the systems or have their own pad crews on site as a hired staff.
SpaceX could be THE go to out of the box space service supplier would wide.
Flame diverter? Gosh if only someone would have suggested that earlier they could have saved a lot of money and time. Oh wait many smart people did just that…
They certainly need more fuel because they can't seem to make it to orbit with current prop loads. And where is this 100t+ payload capacity coming from?
