Welcome to 2023, and a really interesting set of topics today to kick the year off. A bunch of neat new things to discuss at Starbase Texas. SpaceX Starship Updates of course, but the new device to ensure the Orbital Launch Mount can support the full 5,000 tonnes of a Fully Stacked and Loaded Starship. A very exciting launch and return to landing site for Falcon 9, but also some super interesting payloads to talk about within that Transporter 6 mission. A brand new fully reusable vehicle by Stoke Space with only a metal heat shield? How is that going to work? And then we worked hard on a new compilation to re-inspire and remind myself and all of us, why a Crazy Future Awaits if SpaceX can nail Starship and its future plans. This year is already looking very exciting as we count down to the biggest tests of the Starship yet.

20 TO 30 MIN IS GREAT. If it goes to space, lets hear about it
Marcus & team ….you are doing a really great job, hitting just the note even for non techies like me. Don’t change a winning formula…sadly there’s always a danger if you feel you need a refresh when you really don’t. Don’t fix something that’s not broken! Please!
I surely hope that Elon has planned to accommodate the huge storm surges and waves, as well as the tornadoes that hurricanes sometimes generate.
more !!!!!!!!
going to Mars is like going to Antarctica for at least two years without oxygen.
I personally find your content ideal in its current form. I'm never against being proven that change can be good but I think Iterate rather than reinvent if your going to.
I think 20 minutes is the perfect amount of time, and maybe cut down on Starbase footage by 10% to 20%. Thanks for the great show, as usual!
Videos are perfect! This one was especially awesome. And I love the occasional info viedeo such as the Moonshot, Mars Landing and Going Nuclear.
Why does Elon reference the bar chart and then contradict the figures presented in the chart (17:15) by saying that in 1 year of duty cycle for a starship, launched 3 times a day, the total tonnage to orbit will equal that of the world's achievement to date.. where as the chart suggests that this would be achieved by 3 launches a week? Which is correct. Surely Elon can't have got it wrong? Or have I misunderstood?
Why do I feel like Falcon 9 is just putting trash into orbit?
I am stoked for what Stoke is doing. And, as an aussie, it's nice to see us getting stuff to space without Britain cancelling a successful rocket after 1 test flight.
I enjoy your videos. My 4 year old and I watch it almost every Saturday. I keep telling him that he could be a space truck driver when he grows up.
What you're doing is both essential and magnificent. Thank you.
While it's brilliant to see what other developments are happening, you can't ignore SpaceX either. They're the source of so much goodness. Your proportions seem spot on.
That was Awesome. thanks
Marcus, how are you this sunny morning in Goonellabah on North Coast NSW? Welcome to 2023.
When are Fusion by the end of 2030 and Hyper Drive by 2045?
Musk is so inspiring in this 2nd half of this video. Too bad and then a couple years after chose to go full on right wing nut and buy Twitter to unleash all the jordan Petersen incels upon the world, and that all for the "Lolz". Oh how the mighty have fallen
Very inspirational. Love it.
I love your format. I think your pace and level of detail are perfect and I am rarely left wondering about some aspect of the topic. Great Job.
Your presentation is just good. I like it and i learn a lot.Keep it like that. Thanks.
Make longer vids
ah yes, rain the toxic hydrazine all over me!
Cant watch your show anymore mate so many scam add associated with it good luck
As we used to say at work " Don't 'tutu' with it! " i.e leave it as it is if it's working well.
I just think everything is just fantastic. I want more of everything. I don't understand any of the technical stuff, but even though it goes over my head, I am completely mesmerized, I love it. Listening to Elon's vision made me tear up in the end. How lucky are we to have someone like him and those around him do what he does.
All good stuff here, keep it going, good on you…
Love this length of video, lets me just hang out and listen, shorter videos have me clicking around to much
Good video. Thanks!
Brilliantly done
Hey Marcus. It's been an excellent ride, so far. And no matter how you all modify the format in the future, as long as you keep up the great work you're doing to this point, well, you can punch my ticket for the long haul…from here to the stars.
Awesome vid!! Could you tell me where to find the interview with elon on spacex showed in this vid?
I anticipate the metal heat shield on Stoke Space's reusable second stage will be made out of titanium, due to its ability to withstand extreme temperatures up to 3,034°F (1668℃). That is in line with the temperatures expected to accumulate during reentry from orbit.
Always love the starbase updates!!! More for 2023! This video format is perfect and easy to digest in my busy day. Ty so much for what you're all doing!!!!!
