I think they need a full orbit just for the time they need to do all the things they want. Fuels transfer, orbital engine ignition and to probably include releasing the large Starlink sats.

As for flight 3 going for a full orbit or not, I’d take the word of the space ex engineer over Elon, who has a very long track record of over promising milestones, and missing the mark by sometimes wide margins. Still, looking forward to the next launch 👍🏽

I’m thankful for the handful of excellent space reporting entities and individuals who are committed to bringing this story forward, while the big media outlets barely cover this topic and when they do their ignorance is on full display.
