What will happen to Ship 26?
Maybe 26 is a flying gas tank, that will act as fuel for future Starships
Honestly, those heat shield tiles have been nothing but trouble since we first saw them. My money is on the option that they will either delay the program, or SpaceX will have to mod the program such that they consider the upper stage to be disposable, at least for several of the early missions and maybe the cheaper option will be to redesign to make the upper stage a throwaway. The shuttle program is a complete story of how much time can be wasted on making, mounting, and maintain heat shield tiles. The basic problem remains unsolved.
SpaceX has decided to launch what they need for mars missions into orbit and then tow it to mars. Better and more efficient to use a train than 100 trucks.
deep space starship.
“Ean cosmonot, wowowowowowowowowow!, Need more woman cosmots!" Said the cringe bugman?
Anyone else losing a lot of interest in Starship progress? I feel like we were promised so much more so much quicker and it almost feels like nothing will ever happen.
I don't know about the Decatur in Alabama, but we have a Decatur in Iowa, and it's name is pronounced "dee-KAY-ter" not "DECK-a-ter." FYI…. 😉
26 is likely the test bed for refueling per their USSF contact. 24 is their test bed for re-entry. Lunar prototype is likely way, waaaaay out, probably not until late 2023
A tanker.?
I think the forward flaps on SS are too complex. Make smaller and fixed forward fins !
SpaceX needs always a Home Depot nearby.
Felix, I have nothing but KUDOS and LOVE about your content for years already, BUT: Try to remember AUDIO LEVEL MASTERING at end of your production cycle, to push it par with so-called Internet Delivery levels – it will be just 1 min more work but it pays off in the end, especially as that your content is 100% spoken word to listen for. Love you, YOU ROCK 🤘🤘🤘
Nice video!
Ship 26 is a water tower.
😀
How far along is that Elon Musk project to land a million people on Mars? Are we halfway there yet? 500,000 people on Mars? Zero? There are zero people on Mars??? But he promised. He was going to launch three rockets a day. Well, how many are in flight to Mars right now? Zero? How many are scheduled to fly to Mars this year? Next year? 2025?? nothing? So he claimed he'd send a million people and he hasn't sent a single one and has no schedule to even begin launching? That doesn't sound at all like a con man.
Decatur (Alabama) is pronounced: Duh- kay- ter 👍
For the HLS spacecraft return, about 3200 m/s must be reduced by an upper atmosphere break- maneuver. Therefore, the HLS spacecraft also needs a heat shield cover. This means that SN 26 (if it is the ARTEMIS 3 HLS) needs as well a TPS tiles.
You've been in Florida to long 😎
SpaceX will go big,…Ship 26 will launch to orbit,…followed by a 2nd to refuel it,….ship 26 continues on to translunar injection & lunar orbit followed by possible landing!
Please, less woke garbage and virtue signaling.
Just a note, Decatur is pronounced "Dee, Kate, Er"
Hubble boost: I believe they are using it as a test bed for the dragon boosting the ISS.
If women want to be cosmonauts then they have to do what the men do, EARN THAT RIGHT!. The cream rises to the top. Should they install minorities like lantinX folk too?
Dee Kay tor. Alabama
By the way, I really enjoy your videos. Very informative. Sorry for the correction on Decatur 😊. Keep up the great work
Does it mean that once the hubble telescope is re-orbtited, they could do the same for the space station ?
S24 is going be a very useful test bed. I doubt it will land safely, but the tiles, integrity, systems will all be thoroughly tested. Can’t wait.
I agree starship 26 is going to be your moon rocket! 😉
I have been have a 10 foot C band… you’re right I can use it all year around no matter the weather outside!
And will always be used commercially! 👍
You should do a story on Susie! 😮
I don't blame you for homeschooling your kids, considering how your Florida school system forces religion to be taught instead of science and censors by burning books…
