No. I don't believe this is going to be the final version of the door in the high bay. Nor do I think anything at SpaceX is permanent. They are constantly upgrading and tweaking everything. And I think that is great. That just lets us know that we're always getting the latest and greatest that SpaceX has to offer. That's why they are number one, world wide in the rocket industry.
We use fabric doors on some of our aircraft hangars in Memphis.
I would like to see Starship used to go to Mars to get little Ingenuity and bring her back to Earth.
I have become very emotionally attached to the little Ingenuity helicopter. I am so sad that she had an accident and can't fly anymore. I just want to go to Mars and either fix her rotors or bring her back home. Ingenuity means more to me than all the aircraft in the world. It will be hard, if not impossible, to beat her resume.
Using starship as moon base is good idea
What if it landed horizontally with thrusters eliminating the need for pulling it down
10:10 etc,…. FFS Felix, who comes up with these dumb ideas? Why are people fixated in running floors down the long axis, when the smart design is to treat the Starships like flying apartment buildings with floor ACROSS the body. All that's needed to turn one in to a habitat is to drop it in to a vertically bored tunnel, pull the raptors off the bottom and use the remaining fuel to make air and water and carbon dioxide for plants, with the tanks being opened up for a ladder down the middle and more floors welded in.
LIFE/BEAM would work this way too, with The Boring Company already getting equipped to make the underground tunnels on Luna and Mars to connect the ships in to a city block.
10:45 – and the latice is fine, but why eff with the nosecone when there's two lift points under the front flaps to handle the 'downward' loads already – what was that Muskism about parts doing more then one function – Lift point for Mechazilla is also the lift point to hang Starships on a giant Ferris Wheel.

Hard doors almost never seal properly over the complete structure and even when they do those seals wear out and fail and crack fairly regularly. A fabric door is much easier to seal and it has less edge context to seal since the door itself can be one solid piece. Another advanced solution by SpaceX!

I think 90% of the things that we think that can be done using starship like huge artificial gravity space stations will not be done saying that that is too comlex (and expensive)
A few years ago I thought SpaceX would rent out cameras to the various sites who want to watch them 24/7. Capitalism.
The storm concern for the Brownsville area as the Cape is, of course, hurricanes. Fabric doors aren't going to survive but would be easy to replace. VAB had to meet all hurricane standards at the time it was built and appears to have been a good job. Not sure how SpaceX Bays would hold up on a direct hit. Because of warmer water temps and being a La Nina year, some are calling for a stronger season although even if number of storms doubled or were more intense, doesn't mean any would hit the Starbase area.

Do feel like that it might make more sense for the car park to be closer towards Brownsville and SpaceX to have a shuttle bus service to better more efficiently transport workers to/from their vehicles.
Allowing more space at the build site to actually be used for building vehicles/future developments instead.
Dont really think building a carpark at the build site is smart in the long term!

When will spacex stocks open to public?
What I don't understand is why don't space agencies create an enclosure with wheels on it to be able to have an automated workshop to perform maintenance on these rovers. Like once inside of the enclosure, it can be cleaned and repaired with robot arms. At the same time mostly protected from elements. That way, the rovers' life expectancy can be greatly extended. One way or another we're going to Mars, so I'd imagine we're gonna need all the data we can get.
Add a NERVA engine and become an Earth to Moon taxi! Roundtrip in less than a day?

People get unsubbed due to what can be called lurker behavior, where they don't sub, share, comment , like, etc . They wouldn't share a vid to save the world because they are more or less saving themselves , and this is the problem that will destroy the world…aka apathy.

The Martians finally got tired of Ingenuity flying over their property and took it out. Ingenuity was definitely awesome.
My thought, partially or completely submerge 8 starships vertically into the surface of the moon, forming a circle of starships. Connect the starships via curved tunnels under the surface. Then dig out an open area at the center of the starships to add a larger, inflatable open living space. It's to be covered as well. Not getting into the details of how to do it all, but ya know, this just came to me and I'm sharing.
I wondered if the Japanese lander could right itself by briefly firing one of its attitude thrusters to push the lander over on its correct side. It may work, it may not, but at least it would give them a chance to salvage the mission as it was intended.

INGENUITY BLADE FAILURE: those blades have to spin crazy fast to generate lift. It could well be blade composite material stress fatigue failure from immense centrifugal forces over repeated cycles of use. Also hitting air molecules at supersonic speeds has its own wear and tear effect(it's not as bad as marine propelers and cavitation, but it's not zero). Add the factor of crazy temperature shifts to supper cold, making all epoxy resins in the composite blade brittle and prone to cracking under stress- and ripping itself apart becomes the most logical outcome of comparing with hitting the ground. If that thing touched the ground with those supersonic blades, it would pulverise itself in an instant(seen helicopter crashes on Earth?). But you can clearly see the pictures of it standing there intact, just the blade tips missing(the parts which were supersonic).
2.0 starship will most likely be next and then a larger engine to reduce the number of engines required for such a monster rocket.
Honestly, who cares?
The ONLY thing SpX should be concentrating on is getting starship operational without exploding.
Getting it refueled in orbit without cryogenic boiloff and surviving reentry while all their heat tiles still keep falling off like rain.
If or when Starship actually works we can talk about these fantasy projects.
Starship should have been the phase 2 Artemis option. National team or Dynetics should have been the first phase.
