James Jones is back on the channel and he’s NOT playing Orks! Little known is that he is a huge fan of Space Wolves and he jumped on the chance to play the new beautifully painted Space Wolf combat patrol we just got! Nick, ever eager to play, takes control of the Tyranids to try and get revenge on James!
Note! Combat Patrol plays slightly different than regular full size 40k. Some of the data sheets and abilities have been adjusted to be more balanced for this smaller size of play.

Did nick not ever fire the barbguants? They can move and shoot, heavy just gives yoy a +1 to shooting if you dont move
Great looking wolves, nice job.
Could we see a Grey knights Combat Patrol?
I don't get why we so frequently hear the player say something, then have it immediately repeated. Otherwise, fun match.
More combat patrol please this was awesome!
These minis were painted by the magnificent brush of liver.eating.Johnson !
Good game. Man, I'd really love to see how it might've gone if the Leapers had made that charge.
That tyranid patrol is hard to win with. A lot of bodies but very little firepower. They should have left the Psychophage its FNP aura to let the swarm turtle up on it when the terrain doesn't give many sheltered spots.
No idea how to play. Been painting for 4 years. I just can't understand the rules. Such a massive rulebook and so much going on.
But I love these videos.
To be honest every ork player needs a couple of other armies for the boyz to beat up on, the same way that the Harlem Globetortters need the Washington Generals.
This was easily the most boring Comat Patrol and its not even on part of the editing or the players. It was just the Combat Patrol of the Tyranids. After round 2 all enjoyment in the game just went. I think Tyranids only killed one model? It's really sad just how bad the Tyranid Combat Patrol is. Really makes content creation from such an amazing channel feel boring and I hate that.
Can you guys please do an episode of combat patrol when you both try armies you’ve never played . Would be cool to see experienced players try a new army an fumble through it like a more experienced beginner to the game . ❤❤please pretty please
so the Ork player is playing space marine style Orks ????? COOL 🙂 whaaaagh!!!! i mean………….. howling noises !!!!!
Nick is such a good personality, always positive no matter what love that ❤
Try playing Grey Knight for Combat Patrol, its abusive how few troops they can field and how much of their gear they dont get to use.
I thought I spotted an Ewok?
I'm sorry, is this game meant to be balanced in any way?
If your looking at straight probability rolling a 4, 5 or 6 is 16.6% each or 1in6
Rolling a 4 or higher is 50% or 3in6
But it also is dependant on which number is upright when you start the roll. Blah blah blah
I remember watching another video of a mathematician that is way smarter than me, say that after rolling dice 1000 times they that the chances of rolling a 4,5 or 6 was 66% on 6 sided dice but i didnt understand why, and can't find the video to ref sorry. 😅
Also James saying "I'm having fun" when tabling Nick in the last minute is the most orky thing ever! Haha can take the orks away from Mr Initiative, but can not take the Ork out of the boss! 😂😂😂
I like watching these combat patrols. As a new player it helps me keep track of the status of the match so I can learn more then a full 2k point vid
Love seeing space wolves on the channel!! And a wolf win!!! Thise graytide bits are stunning!!!!
Have you tried switching the WTP to a support model? Give it the -1ap enhancement and the OC secondary. Then just keep it safe and use it for -1ap (massive), synapse support, or objective control.
It's no surprise that Mr. Initiative always wins, because he always baits Nick into bad decisions and unnecessary risks. Keep it up dude!
Nick learning from his Leapers' mistakes with over-aggressive deployment and choosing to play it safe instead is such a hivemind adaptation learning moment. You never fool the synaptic nexus twice (or three times). He really is meant to play Tyranids.
This is best looking Space Wolves army I've ever seen 🤩
Where they get all those parts for conversions?
Termagants! NOT GAUNTS
great game , and those Wolves were fantastic models , put mine to shame.
I love watching Nick play he brings so much positive energy even when he starts losing.
I won a combat patrol tournament with the nids and the game against space wolves was the most straight forward. All your weapons are effective against space marines and totally ineffective vs the war suit. The whole game is delaying that war suit. At the end of the battle it was his suit vs the world with most of its wounds
Love Combat Patrol, easier for quick games
Great match, thank you!
I love all your team members but you two guys are my all time favorite matchup, playerwise, not factionwise.
You two vibe on a whole nother level, its the perfect combination of calm, excited and funny, i love to watch you play.
where did you guys get the smoke effect on the invictor. looked at deadly print and they didn’t have anything like that.
You guys should do a “most valuable model” or squad at the end of the match!
Anyone know the music in the background at 10:15?
I personally enjoyed watching this combat patrol sized match more than big armies. It's easier to keep track of what was going on, you get more acquainted with units and their capabilities, and of course it's less time consuming 😉
Love those Wolves and James was Epic even Without Dakka. Nick was great as well.
tyranids seem way stronger in normal games than in combat patrol especially against space marines who just seem to have higher power units for this?
Space Marines vs Tyranids? How unique…
Love that ork math , combat is wicked , games take an hour , once it ramps up it takes 60 minutes, man James is just so orky even when he’s not playing orks
Hey guys can you do a spin off series, on how to paint going over the basic using basic techniques
Seeing James play Space Wolves was awesome, glad to see it. Good ol' bug hunt to exterminate some gribblies.
Thanks for another fun game!
Can someone explain the 90% chance nick had of succeeding that 4+ save? that math isn't adding up. he has a 50% chance on a 4+ save with one balanced D6, right? And that will always be that case, right?
I really want to see the Death Guard combat patrol on here. Would love to see how those 30 poxwalkers get used lol
The luck of the dice was all that prevented the many poor choices from ending this game in half the time.
im not a fan of overwatch rule. charging already lets the opponent hit ya back on your own turn now they can do it twice. melee is not the way to go anymore.
Rerolling a 4+ is overall 75% success
We need to see that BLACK TEMPLARS combat patrol on the channel!
Blast weapons can target enemies within engagement in CP?
3000 point Tau Nick VS James' Orks???????????
