The gun of the Venator is ordnance but it doesn´t matter since the Venator has the sub-type "Bombarde".
I think my friends and I may house rule not allowing tanking saves on the Artificer Sgts for shooting. Still useful in combat (which is why I take mine for challenges), but tanking shooting with it is just silly lol.
Re: the loophole in the Maru Skara – it is just proof that HH 2.0 was meant to be enjoyed drunk, preferably as drunk as the rules writers were when they wrote the rules and balanced the game.
I thought units in combat do not take pinning test/auto pass them? Im just a little confused for the veterans engaged with the venator.

Does anyone know the recipe for the golds on the Emperor's Children? I'm working on my own and am never completely happy with my gold and I think this is what I'm trying to achieve.
cant the dreadnought charge the unit after destroying the land raider? i thought i read in the rulebook if a unit destroys a transport they can charge the people inside
