Space Jockies of Aliens Original Sin / Mala'kak

Aliens Original Sin was a follow up novel to the film, Aliens Resurrection. It would also feature the Space Jockey race, here called the Mala’kak. Lets examine these new takes on the pilot alien, to see how they differ from other versions like the Jockies of Outbreak, or Aliens Apocalypse.

  1. I always perfered that they are part of nature they may not harm a creature don't pose any threats against their colonies in their Homeworld, Queen Mother is a well writing character and i loved reading comics about her

  2. I love that this popped up just now. I was putting a bunch of my old books on a new shelf that I just got and the original aliens omnibus comics was some of them and I started reading them. Forgot how good they were! Plus it's more fun reading than alphebetising books.

  3. Anything that goes against the pilot growing out or into the chair, should just be thrown out of dead cannot by fans. Don't go for something lesser just because someone lies about years later, or because certain others do not have great imagination.

  4. I'm not much in favor of the Engineers because they go against H.R Giger's original design in my opinion. The Space Jockey was a dead nightmarish alien creature that made us wonder what did it look like when it lived. The Engineers are just humanoid and simplified and wear a Space Jockey suit that is also more simplified. So yeah the Mala'kak idea is something that I support more.

  5. the engineers wearing human-looking space suits looks so wrong next to their giger-esque spaceships and technology.
if the tech doesn't look like Giger designed it, then it's not jockey tech (in my eyes).

  6. Personally I dislike the Engineers the most. It feels like the biggest copout and waste of a design. Lets take this alien design and almost unknowable purpose and then just make them generic near humans that dont add much to the story and even take away some of the mystery of the series.

  7. I only see Alien as cannon, everything else I discount, even Aliens ( yeah I know, you’ll think I’m mad) I enjoyed Aliens immensely, but it kind of turned the alien into insects, I like the egg morphing idea, truly horrifying ! Plus the space jockey is a complete mystery
