Layoffs:
PlayStation studio Deviation Games reportedly laid off as many as 90 employees, according to sources on Twitter and personal announcements shared on LinkedIn. The studio has not made an official statement on the matter.
The layoffs were described as a “difficult situation” that “forced” the company to make the cuts. It currently is unclear how or even if the number of employees has changed since Deviation’s partnership with Sony was made known back in June, 2021. The company was then staffed by around 100 employees. Deviation had been working on a “brand new original IP” with PlayStation, something that was already in development for a year at the time of the announcement. The studio has not revealed any details about the game.

The news about the layoffs was shared by the affected employees on Twitter and LinkedIn. One employee wrote that “a bunch of my colleagues and friends were laid off from Deviation Games today,” another worker explaining how “my studio recently ran into a difficult situation and was forced to make a number of layoffs which I was a part of,” according to sources discovered by VGC.

The fact that OP doesn’t want a Sony Hall effect controller blows my mind. The original PS5 controller cost $70 and the edge is $200, I’d easily pay an extra $20-50 to never have to worry about stick drift again.
dude ill pay 100 for a controller if theres no stick drift. stick drift on a 70 controller totally makes the value go down imo. i just want a solution. take my money sony.

I can't be the only one who disagrees with co-op in RE5 being the worst thing right? For me that was the best part of that game. When I played it solo it was so annoying having such a trash AI who would just waste all your ammo. I get the game was far too different and more action than survival horror but that game specifically would have been alot worse if co-op was taken out.
Wait… I thought once you add games to your ps+ library it's on your account permanently (as long as you're subscribed)? Have they been removing games all this time? 😕

I'm sorry, but 4 and 5 were completely different games, on soo many levels. Like the only thing in common is the rpg aspect of money and upgrades, that's about it imo
I played Xbox 360 and ps3. I liked both controllers but ps3 just helped me play fps’ better. PS4 is basically the same with longer handles which I needed. I now prefer ps4 over ps5 cuz it’s kinda like Xbox, just too bulky for me🤷♀️
Hoping for a trailer for ff7 rebirth since it’s supposed to be out this year if we don’t see it then I’ll be expecting a delay announcement soon
Hall effect sensors are cheap. They do not use them because they want you buying more defective controllers over and over again or now a 20 dollar replacement part for a defective technology. And then, they don't allow aftermarket controllers like the king Kong or 8 bit duo that use hall effect to be used on PS5.
Folks will pay the premium for a high quality handle. I forked over the 200 bucks for the edge. F**king LOVE IT.
Sony here pay $200 for a new controller so you can go buy a $20 replacement part for something that's not an issue with most 3rd party controllers of the same price range that have more functions ( 4 back buttons , rapid fire some more adjustable than others ) .
Most resident evils are not scary, the only one i can think of is 7, the rest are just 'creepy games' 5 is my most play RE game because of the CooP (was my first plat too), i dont really care if its scary or not, 5 was fun to play.

Here's a better idea Sony fix the drift issue
Paying more up front for hall effect sensors would actually be cheaper you have to replace the sticks more than once, which you eventually will if it's a controller you enjoy.
oh yes $200 controller that instead of hall sensor sticks has $20 ones to sell you for when they break good way to sell you more stuff I guess.
