  1. “I get the concerns about artistic integrity.” Gotta convince me Pontac and Graff had some, first. The new script is better almost across the board. It’s gone from Wikipedia level references that make the characters look ignorant of their own history, to nods that actually make sense and characters focused on the story at hand. Amy’s line about flirting was extremely cringe coming off her being trapped in a void. “Here’s my one trait these guys know about me!”

  3. I hope sonic frontiers 2 has a world that better fits the sonic aesthetic. I want to see checkerboard dirt in some places and I want to go through loops and run through different biomes that look like past sonic levels. Not just green hill again but all the outdoor levels from the past could be turned into vibrant biomes that fit with the cartoon vibes of the characters. Imagine running through a forest and coming across a chemical plant that you can run through like your exploring shadows white space

  4. How similar Shadow to Frontiers gameplay? I'm someone who gave up on that game a few hours in because I just didn't like the gameplay and rank that game the lowest of the last 2 decades, so should I even bother with the Shadow game?
Either way I really just want the Sonic Generations as I no longer have a system to play it on

  5. There's a bit more to the controversy. In one of the side stages, Amy declares that if she wins, they go out on a date. In the remaster, its "whoever gets to the end, wins", which takes away what they were racing for and Amy's personality in general. On top of it, any dialogue regarding Amy's love for Sonic is entirely omitted. She also slams Knuckles in the end, but that wasn't really all that big of a deal (still why is it changed?). They also keep dialing back Rouge's femme fatale personality and design for whatever reason (about 20 years too late SEGA to care about that now), even though her side mission is still entirely unchanged (where she makes a bunch of robots, mhm, excited), which makes it all seem just weird.

Flynn does not know his Sonic lore, I really hate it when people say that. He's not Sonic Jesus, he's not the lore god, nor is he even in charge of the lore. His most recent controversy before this was that he made statements about how "Chaos Control only stops time, doesn't teleport the user", which is factually false, because how else did Sonic get out of the capsule in SA2? Before that, he believed Sonic could only go lightspeed if he had the Chaos Emeralds, which is again factually false (it's one of his regular moves and Omega even references his speed as being beyond Lightspeed). People need to stop glazing the guy, he's really not that good and I would like to point out that Archie's most hated stories were written by the guy, he's a big reason that series ended.

  6. Sonic, like Man Utd was utterly incredible in the 90’s. Now it’s a little hit and miss with the odd standout being enjoyed for what it is. I’ll be buying it out of habit and love for the blue hog but I’m not expecting treble’99 standards.

  7. Was the Sonic Pinball level added to this new version of Sonic Generations? I just played the Pinball level in Sonic Generations and I don't recall that level being in the original 360 version. It was the most fun I have had playing pinball in a while haha.
