  1. Sonic the Hedgehog was literally made for 60fps. They would have done it years ago if the hardware allowed it. If anything, they should have done a high framerate mode at 120fps.

  2. Shadow Generations is basically just 1 world from Frontiers but with Shadow as the star, and man it works well, it’s less focused on speed and much more focused on exploration and replay ability with manyyy different paths per level. They really did a good job to get out of the usual Sonic comfort zone, and give us something that feels unique and modern

  3. I heard from someone on the show floor that Performance is the best experience because it's SO much smoother and the quality isn't even noticable. Probably should have set that as the default.

  4. Quality mode is shit on every game, I don’t understand the why it’s even there, to change what? If developers really wanted to this “quality mode” could run it at 60, literally every game do that, 30 for quality 60 for performance

  5. I played the Switch version of the game, but, from my perspective, it's just great to play the game even with the 30FPS, I personally don't care that much to 60FPS, so, from my perspective, it's a pretty good version to pick

  6. Ok, so in quality mode Sonic Generations runs at 4k 60fps and Shadow Generatiins in 4k 30fps… Yeah so basically play the sonic part in quality and the shadow part in performance.

  7. If I could figure out how to turn the 60fps on my Series X… don’t tell me 60 is PS5 and PC only? I’m not a frame rate whore, but that’s disappointing if Series X was left to eat the dust.
