  3. Light novel? Aren't those just called novels?

    And if I recall the light novel format isn't really a thing people do in the west. If you want a book deal they either want a children's book (at which case they'll want illustrations) or a proper 75k novel which can have sequels. Granted there are Novellas but they tend to be filler or a gaiden or omake for western novels.

    If the person is serious. Just learn to write a novel. Hell there is a month called novel writing month in November (yes it is at odds with NNN)
