DMZ is the new extraction-based mode inside Warzone. It’s the reason I was most excited for Modern Warfare II and so far it hasn’t let me down. It borrows the same extraction system from Battlefield 2042 and Ring of Elysium — instead of an encroaching circle that comes from all sides, an irradiated zone will begin to expand from a random spot in the map. The goal is no longer being the last one alive, but reaching the extraction point before the chopper leaves.
DMZ is designed for squad play (whether with friends or random players in the match), so going it alone might prove harder than expected. You are advised to equip a bigger plate carrier that can hold 2 or 3 armor plates in order to survive patrolling enemies in the area. If you can make it on your own, the thrill is very satisfying

Dmz solos is actually easy when you have the hang of it
