Soarin’ Over California is an exhilarating adventure in The Land Pavilion of World Nature at Epcot, Walt Disney World Florida. Soarin’ Over California makes its final flight on the 27th of February 2024. Soarin’ Over California will be replaced by Soarin’ Around the World on the 28th of February 2024 having been temporarily replaced with Soarin’ Over California since September 22, 2023, as part of the Disney 100 Years of Wonder celebration.

Soarin’ first opened in Epcot, Walt Disney World in May 2005. Soarin’ is also available at other Disney theme Parks including:
Disney California Adventure which shows Soarin’ Around the World,
Shanghai Disneyland Park which shows Soaring Over the Horizon,
Tokyo DisneySea which shows Soaring: Fantastic Flight.

Soarin’ is a flight motion simulator attraction, known as a flying theater, which employs a mechanical lift system, a projected presentation on an 80 ft (24 m) concave 180-degree dome screen, and artificial scents and wind to simulate a hang gliding flight. Saorin’ is manufactured by Dynamic Structures and designed by Walt Disney Imagineering.

What are the height restrictions for Soarin’?
To ride Soarin’ guests must be at least 40in (102cm) or taller and guests under age 7 years must be accompanied by a person age 14 years or older. This applies to both Soarin’ Over California and Soarin’ Around the World. Soarin’ may not be suitable for guests with a fear of heights or who are prone to motion sickness. Soarin’ suspends guests in the air on an exhilarating, gliding adventure that includes dramatic drops, turns, swoops, and lifts.
