So I tried playing RESIDENT EVIL 5 In 2022…

Resident Evil 5 is without a doubt my favorite game in the series and one of the best co-op games ever made. While it likely didn’t begin that way as Sheva is just injected in the game, it certainly worked out. For many, it was the beginning of the end, but for me, it was love at first sight.

  2. I adore this dumb yet incredibly fun game. It's story is every copy paste 05 military movie you've ever seen but the gunplay is a ton of fun. hell I love this game so much that I cosplayed RE5 Chris and took it to a few conventions.

  3. RE 1 to 4 were great for their day but I bounced right off RE5 and 6, they felt like major missteps. Remake 2 pulled me back in and got me to give 7 a chance… 5 and 6 never happened.

  4. If you do end up playing Operation Raccoon City please play the Echo Six Expansion missions, they are a lot better than the main game and were meant to be part of the main game but turned into DLC for obvious reasons.

  5. Lol operation raccoon city, aw man seeing you hold that up brought back some memories. A friend of mine and I wanted to play it but didn’t know what to expect so we bought the pre owned copy at GameStop since you can return it if you didn’t like it. We ended up beating it the same day since it was so short and ended up getting on our money back 😂

  6. RE4 was the first RE game I truly enjoyed, dont get me wrong the first 3 were good but RE4 is something special. So I appreciate the more action oriented RE games, so I love RE5. That said I enjoyed RE7 and 8 which were action/ horror. I am glad you offered RE6 as a possible video, because I thought it was another solid RE action game. Looking forward to RE4 remake, which will likely be a great combo of action/ horror and maybe more on the "scary" side. I really like this channel, thank you and keep it up!!

  7. This game WAS RESIDENT EVIL.

Everyone recognizes the series when seeing Albert Wesker as the Terminator.

And the gameplay is basically RE4 DLC and who doesn’t like RE4.

And finally it was the RE with the most sales. Sure I prefer 4 and 7 over RE5 personally, but 5 is a complete banger! 0 nostalgia here because I replayed it after years during quarantine and playing remembering the nightmare that was the Jill DLC on max difficulty on the final room is one of the most memorable RE moments for me now!

  8. Let's start with my hot take: RE5 is better than RE4.

I played this game for the first time this summer with my cousin via couch co-op on PS5. I loved it. It was action packed and it felt like such the evolution of RE5. I got the platinum trophy and 100% the other DLC's. The multiplayer required boosting and the two other DLC's were okay. But that core campaign experience. Incredible.

  9. This was my first RE too! I was 12 in 2009. I remember LOVING IT. I grew up watching the action movie resident evils so I figured RE was an action franchise. I remember counting down the days in 2012 when RE6 was releasing. I didn't experience RE2 or RE3 until the remake. I did try the port of the RE1 remaster when it released in 2015 and it was too puzzle focused so I dropped it. I finally realized RE was a horror franchise when I played RE7. Tons of friends made sure to tell me it's a horror franchise, but based on RE5 and 6, I couldn't really believe it.

Going back to RE5. I loved it. Absolutely loved it. Played it co op with friends and by myself a lot. Ironically, now I can't even touch RE5, or RE6. They just aren't fun at all anymore. I've been spoiled by RE2 and 3 remake along with RE7 and 8. Another funny mention is I absolutely LOVED operation raccoon city. I grinded out all the unlocks and weapons by myself. Just playing the campaign constantly. I went back last year to see if I still like it. And just like RE5 and 6, I can't stand it lol. Even though I can't stand them I will always treasure the memories of all those years ago.

  10. A mediocre game and a really bad RE… i'm so pleased that managed to save the franchise with the introduction of RE7… the second game in the series that actually has evil residents😂😂😂… i'm a such big RE fan and i just pretend that 5 and 6 never happened for my own sanity…

  11. My memory of this game, is that it was…fine.

I loved Resi 4 (have finished it more times than I can remember). RE5 came out, it’s definitely not as good as 4, played it, finished it, never played it again 😂

  12. RE5 is fun as hell. My favorite co-op game. Currently playing RE6 for the first time. It may be way different from the original RE games but it’s fun as hell. It’s like an action movie.

  13. I finished Resident Evil 4 yesterday and then jumped right into 5. 4 is probably my favorite followed by 5. When it first released my brother and I did coop but at the time we could hardly find time to play together so I ended up playing and finishing on my own. I remember grinding to get my guns upgraded but I'm not sure I did the rotten egg thing though I did do some kind of farming.

  14. Resident Evil was never scary, nor was it supposed to. It's a franchise about a group of elite soldiers fighting a giant corporation that makes zombies. Action and shenanigans ensues. See it even sounds silly when you describe it.

  15. So, I'm a late bloomer and a budding Resident Evil fan. Didn't really get into RE until 7 came out. Then things exploded after that with 2 remake, 3 remake, and Village. I went back and played RE1, Zero, Revelations, and Revelations 2. Then I got around to trying 5 and… I didn't really like it. Think I'll ignore 5/6 and just wait for the 4 Remake. The totally action oriented titles don't really do it for me.
