Processing a gold ore sample I took from an abandoned underground gold mine. Check out how much gold is left in this mine!

Gold is heavy clearing all the vein gold is going to be freed up clean the floor 😂😂😂
28:00 maybe a black light? Try it and show us whether it works or not.
Thank you
37:37 wow! like a ground firework show!!!
looks like toxic fumes and no respirator premature death risk reduction
mitigation of breathing rock dust and molten gas
but maybe u dont wanna grow old with your old lady
Wet fart gold lol
Since its feather and wedges, the feather would be center post spreading the wedges as you drive it in between. Thats just my opinion because of the plural wedges. Love your content, but I must say I do fear for your safety in some of these vids. I know a partner means splitting profits, but the buddy system is something I truly believe in, especially when under ground or water. Please stay safe so we can continue enjoying your channel. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
That's a rich piece of land brother I hope to visit your shop soon
These are forreal my favorite videos on YouTube
As others said, thank you for including things that don't go as planned in addition to the stuff that does. I've never smelted gold but interesting to watch you do it.
@1:50,
there is a shear
thru tha pillar
Earth sharting gold is a great visual.
If money and time weren't an issue, I'd be so curious to know how much gold would be yielded if the dirt floor of these old gold mines were "vacuumed" up.
Jason, get some HCl (Muriatic Acid) it will not dissolve gold but will dissolve Quartz.
Howdy Jason. I'm always learning. I want you to know that you're doing the right thing. I've been working outdoors my whole life.commercial fishing ect. It's important we set a good example for young people .and keeping in mind what I call practical environmentalism .instead of preaching doom and media driven hype .so I'm looking forward to more of what your doing and am going to check the vids u have already done. Happy 2023 .
I am not an expert but you are definitely not either. Sorry.
Need dynamite
What are the red marks for?
I'm sure a thousand ppl have commented on this but…. the part you hit is the Wedge, wedging apart the thin metal side pieces called the Feathers. Have you ever considered doing episodes with visitors, people who pay to accompany you in the caves, streams, mountains and back home to your mills and crushers? I see a HUGE waiver being involved and you can pretty much right your own costs? Time limits on mine work and time down in the working areas, people can sift through tailing piles, etc. Do panning in a stream. Pack-mule the filled bags of rock to the trucks. What they find they keep? People will Flip the F**K out joining you doing your thing. You can make your own "rules" about people being down in a mine, like for 30mins per day or whatever, do a nice lunch. Back to the workshop to crush up the rocks. Maximum 4 clients per weekend? Two 8 hr days? They can camp or stay in a hotel? Just a thought?
Nice I figured there would be some snow up there, I guess there getting ready for but I'm on the board with .52 of new year gold great color , see you out there ⚒️🪨🇺🇸👍
Wet fart! LOL
I wonder if just messing with the exposure would help, but then you would have to deal with setting up a camera and also mining. Better to hire a camera man that wants to go prospecting with you!
love your videos. thinking that the last few drops in the crucible contain the most metals and would be important to get that last drop or two. awesome machines (jaw crusher and bico) – any details on the jaw crusher?
You need a chipping hammer, not those wedges and drill.
Hi Jason
I wait for your reply
Thank
So why dont you use metal detector on these veins?
WoW you got silver there.
First just toss in a stick of dynamite and loosen up anything that's ready to fall. Then come back in and it will be safer to explore…theoretically…
Put your eye loop on it and see if you can actually see any gold…just a thought…
Video is too long and boring
If the cave falls in on top of him…at least he'll have it recorded on video… 😉
Always enjoy your video's and do be careful young man…
Something I know Dan H uses, multiple feather and wedges. He doesn't just use one. It will spread out the pressure for the fracture of the rock, plus it is less likely to get stuck / left behind in the host.
I would contact Jeff Williams, a fellow Youtuber who also works mining underground and has had to work with lighting in a similar situation…
Just a thought.
Smaller batches for that pour??
@ 38:00 it did look like a mess to me, but was it?
That was the best pour yet🌋
wouldn't being selective in your sampling and only taking good stuff to carry back vastly inflate your grams per ton
For better a better view on the ore, you can lower the exposure on your camera, so that you only see whats illuminated, and you can see any shimmering that may be from the gold
Jason, can you retry this but use 10X more raw material? I would love to see the results. Also, have you considered buying one of those hand held element detectors? Expensive, but just a quick sweep of the quartz vein would focus your attention on the concentrated gold rather than the hit and miss method that you are currently using.
What is the green stuff at 0.24 ?
Just wondering when you will make a video showing Inquartation, showing how much Ag can be alloyed with Au, giving true T ozs. per ton.
Lighting for camera underground is always gonna be tricky,
Especially if you're trying to be a miner
while being the cinematographer at the same time,
as both are pretty time consuming
ie: getting the golden rocks
takes about as much time as getting the golden shots
You might benefit from rigging some sort of close-up camera with a ring light
for the close-ups of the rocks
And a few wide angle led's for lighting up bigger area's
that way you can place a few of them around so they don't cast shadows in the area
you're trying to film, and you can still use your torch for highlighting spots on the wall
But then, you really need to review your footage on the spot, just after you're taken it
Just to make sure viewers can see what you're pointing out, and so-on, and so on.
As you've probably noticed, good filming is trickier than most people realise.
Particularly when you're in a pitch black space
and moving the lights & camera around.
If ever there's a film crew in town, or you know of a local videographer
If might be worth taking them down a mine to give you some pro tips
in exchange for some of the gold, quid pro quo!
It cant hurt to try, and might help with safety & growing your channel
Keep up the good work, I love your vids!
I'm super impressed by that crusher you were using, that's making talcum powder fines!
I've been working on building a 12v, wheelbarrow mounted jaw crusher for a while now,
So that I can sample rocks from old tailings & hard rock mines out in the Australian bush.
(So far I've learned a lot about how NOT to make a working jaw crusher, but it's getting closer,
as I've actually got it to crush rock a few times,
till critical elements failed, but, hey, it's a work in progress)
I intend to make a flail mill to get finer crushings after that
I've got a few questions, if you feel like answering –
– I'm curious as to why you just panned the finer crushings at that point?
Was it too much bother to fire up the big shaker table?
(do you have a small one?) – yet another project I'm planning to work on 😉
– Woudn't a Miller table have helpe seperate the fines better?,
or where you just sort of skipping steps to get the vid out
– Is there any value in slag?
It looks like it should be good for something, it's hard as hell, brittle, and shiny
There's gotta be a use for material like that
It literally get's poured into a mold
There's GOT to be some sort of jewellry tie-in there somewhere!
– You often speak of 'collecter metals' when smelting,
can you point us all to a good reference for what, how, why, and when to use them?
– Have you heard of using a potatoe as a crucible?
Apparently many people in outback Australia just cut a spud in half,
scoop out a depression with a spoon
and use a blowtorch to melt their gold into nuggets
Look it up, I'll bet you get a giggle, and can't resist trying it!
If you do, you know you'll want to!
And I'd love to see the Vid.
Kepp doing the good thing Mate
I enjoy your vids immensly
thanks really❤️
Thanks Great Video
we rebuild our bico plates and our style of plate works alot better than the originals. we have one of your tables and 200 fines it works really well.
