Personally been having a lot of fun for a while with Mesmeric Orb in a Golgari Self-Mill deck built around trying to get Syr Konrad and Angel of Suffering with 2 copies of Gaea's Blessing to prevent self-mill outs. May try and play around with a Smeagol or two after watching this.
Merfolk Windrobber is a death trigger that mills and cantrips once it's turned on and Birthday Escape is a cantrip tempt. The tempt upside on Gollum's Bite and Disfigure being good enough for most of what you actually care about killing with cheap removal in Historic actually seem like it might be worth playing the full 4 with fewer Pushes.
I saw so many versions of this deck this morning and my word it is brutal to play against
