Hi, Iβm the bloke who used to work for the company that repaired coach DG units, JW Glass, now at PSV Glass. We used a jewellers rouge to polish those marks out of the glass, it used to work pretty well. A polishing head attached to an angle grinder was a massive help but with your glass still being in the vehicle, it might be safer to do manually. Good luck ππ€
Morning gang hope youβre well. Hit it we n hammer thenπ not as daft as their dad, look forward to your vids every week. Thereβs a million jobs to do before you start rebuilding it will be great when itβs done.
Loving the safety crocs! π
The emergency exit Window should be hinged so I can get scrap out of it are was
I would have thought gloves would provide protection as well as goggles?
Rent a dehumidifier, it will take the moisture out of the glass..
8:49 pun intended? πππ€£
There is a soft spot here, and here, and here, but I will poke a hole where there isn't a soft spot π and use a cork screw to remove it. Comedy gold.
To much tape. π€
at the start, get some big strips of gaffa tape folded into a T shape. stick these to the windows so the lower leg acts as handles. then tape over window with masking. The gaffer tape will then act as pull handles.
Well that was all mildly terrifying! I wish you had worn gloves too. This is an amazing project to watch – it does make car restorers look like small fry though lol – what a challenge. Love it! π
It wasn't me! π
You'll be finding bits of glass for ages it's as bad as tinsel ans pine needles at christmas
A very ASMR video
Where is your PPE ie gloves long sleeve jumper long trousers and some proper shoes nothing worse to get some glass in your skin
YEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAA
Could do with a nice solid plastic ice scraper to get the inner glass off after breaking.
If you need cheap hoover go screw fix get a titan will last years and cheaper than a Henry π
wow i am shattered just watching, should have used a hammer dad, better now you have a bit more room to move keep on good luck, see you next week.(jogalong).
Interesting way to solve the window issue. I bet you have removed about 1/4 of the weight of the bus by this point!
Hi mate Iβve worked for a bus and coach dealership for the last 30 years, best way to clean your glass is to use fine grade wire wool and window cleaner. The fine grade wire wool is abrasive enough to get rid of any marks, but it doesnβt scratch the glass. Give it a try and see what you think.
Should of masked it all off and made a few handles/ pull points out of tape to pull most out
Edit : and maybe of used gaffer tape as more drip
Second edit : use gloves ffs and those glasses arenβt enough
As its laminated glass why not sheet metal over the outside and bubble wrap or radiator foil the inside for insulation then cover with 3mm ply inside or whatever, job done no mess or broken glass to deal with
Single edge razor blade removes crap from glass or perspex easily
Looks like you had a smashing day π . Good job well done. ππππππ
Hrmm why use tape πππππππ
